32M only took basic sciences. studied at home with EK. i used kaplan's verbal material too though.
they are worth it especially for all the practice material. i don't do well learning from lectures so id did not go the class route.

It depends on if you are disciplined or not. There is nothing you can't study for on your own and do well in the MCAT.
Personally, I need structure and I paid a crap load of money to get it. I did well on the MCAT though, so it was worth it. Had plenty of friends who did well without the class, however.
