MCAT registration booked?

Okay, so my intention was to take the MCAT by early to mid July this year (retaking from last year). But when I looked at the available slots today, everything is booked until July 28th! I live in Ohio, and I couldn't even find a place in Ohio or Michigan until the 28th of July. Are spots likely to open up? I know I should have done this earlier, but a month in advance seems fair...will spots start opening up?

Actively look for a seat closer to the last day to cancel/register the MCAT for that day; people tend to cancel closer to that deadline and seats pop up a lot more often. Of course, there is no guarantee of that, but you might have better luck finding something.

What time of the day did you try it? I live in Ohio and I was able to register for July 6. Though, a weird instance: When I looked at around 9:30 AM yesterday, on BOTH July 6 and 16, there were NO places for Ohio (as in Ohio did not even come up. BUT, when I looked that same day at around 9 PM, there were seats available for both dates (and OHIO APPEARED)!!!

You might want to try during different times of the day. That system is weird.

Anyway, I'm registered for a retake on 6 July (I took on 21 May and think I screwed up verbal), so, if my scores come back acceptable, I would give up that seat (I'd find out 21 June as per my scores). SO, if you want my seat, maybe we could set it up somehow where I cancel and you try to catch the seat. PM me if interested. It's in Strongsville (southeast of Cleveland)--not sure where you are in Ohio--I'm in Sandusky.

You'd have to be really lucky to get a seat this late. Usually people book 3 months in advance.

Even if the seats are reserved, the state should freaking show up. Try at around 8 PM. I tried in the morning once (Tuesday) and ohio didn't show up for july 6, 16, and 28. But that evening, it did.
