Hi all! I got my MCAT scores back yesterday and now I need to make a decision about whether or not to retake. Score: 509 (124/127/128/130). My low score is C/P which is unfortunate. I am planning on applying pretty much exclusively DO. But I don't want to fall into a trap of thinking it's easier to get in.
Other relevant information:

Recently went up in certification to an AEMT (advanced EMT)

400+ hours volunteering
150+ hours shadowing
2 years experience as a CNA
1 year research experience (1 publication pending)
4 on campus student organizations, 2 years in leadership
.... Other things I'm forgetting

Thanks! And congratulations! Are there any schools in particular you would recommend that I apply to? I'm in the Midwest if regionally that's a factor.

Just apply to your 12-15 favorite schools. I'd make sure that DMU and KCU are on the list. Apart from those two pick places where you would want to live, schools that are old, prestigious, or closely associated with undergraduate institutions and schools that don't charge exorbitant tuition like the CCOMs.
