Hello all,
I applied to only one medical school in 2012 to matriculate in 2013, got an interview, got put on the wait list, and then was declined.
I am now applying to matriculate in Fall 2015, but I recently took the MCAT and scored 1 point less. I got a 27 in 2012 and a 26 this summer.
I am wondering what my chances are of getting accepted?
Undergraduate cGPA: 3.75 sGPA: 3.56
I am currently working towards my Masters in Public Health in Health Administration and Policy.
Masters GPA: 4.0
I was an institutional nominee in undergrad and received multiple scholarships.
I have 82 hours of shadowing and am currently still shadowing.
I have volunteered multiple places, including clinics, and received an award my senior year of undergrad for completing over 400 volunteer hours.
I am actively involved in my church and just got back from a medical mission trip to a 3rd world country and plan to do more missions in the future.
I work part-time while going to school full-time for my Masters. I am also working and completing a practicum for my Masters program this summer.
I am already involved on the Health Science Center campus where I am completing my Masters, and plan to apply to the Medical School on campus.
I will have a strong recommendation letter from an MD.
I am an OK resident and am applying to multiple MD and DO schools in Oklahoma and surrounding states.
