Sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone know if it will be possible to check our scores online? And if so, when?

Yes, you can use the THX system. August scores won't be in for another 6-7 weeks I think?

According to the MCAT essentials on the AAMC website, online scores will be posted on THX 50 days after the test; this would be Oct. 5, which is a Sunday, so I'm assuming they'll be up ~Oct. 6. So mark your calendar--I did! 😀

What is less scary, checking your score online, or opening the envelope ?

Checking it online is less scary IMHO because you don't have to wait as long! My envelope came about 10 days after I checked my scores.

checking online is scary. your heart beats really fast and in an instant your entire life is flashed before you. it's a horrible feeling.

I found that it was easier to check online after checking numerous times every day for a week before they were actually posted. After seeing the "scores are not posted yet" message for over a hundred times (I'm not exaggerating), it was not as scary to see more scores for real.

If you log into the THx site, it says at the top: "We expect to load the August 2003 results on October 14th." Maybe this is delayed because of the "blackout" test administration.

This is a stupid question, but did we have to pick a login name and a password when we registered for the MCAT online? I don't remember doing that....of course, I was probably being a complete idiot, thinking that I was smart enough to remember it.

I'll probably have to contact the MCAT people, but I think they'll probably tell me to wait til i get the mailed version.....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo!!!!! Anyone else know what to do if you forget your login info/password before they release the scores?

I don't think you had to get one for the MCAT, but you did for AMCAS. Your THx login info is the same as your AMCAS info.

I was told there is a delay between when you get 'em via THx and when the schools get 'em electronically. So, I'd contact your schools and see if they want you to fax/email an unofficial copy. I know a few of my schools said they'll accept a faxed copy.
