MCAT Test Date- Terrible Idea?

Hi!

I was planning to retake my MCAT in July but received some news recently that will delay my MCAT to early August. My application is complete (just have to submit it) and all of my secondary have been pre-written. I am just waiting for 1 letter of recommendation which I assume should be available in two weeks or so. Is this a terrible idea? Will I be considered too late for this cycle? I am not sure if this cycle will be treated similar to last year. Any advice will be extremely helpful! Thank you so much in advance!

Not ideal but not the end of the world as long as your test score is reported by September 7th or so.
