Hi all,

On MCAT test day, will a section begin without you if you exceed a 10 minute break?

Thanks.

From what I remember on the real thing, when the 10 minutes is up, the screen of your next section will pop up, but you will have to click "start" to begin. So it does not just "start" by itself. However, I did not tried just sitting there looking at it to see how long it will wait for me. For the practice AAMC, that screen is there until you click "start" no matter how long it takes.

It will not start without you but if you are just sitting there without clicking start, the proctors will come and make you click start. I believe if you do it several times they will report it to the AAMC.

The test will wait for you indefinitely. We had to vacate the building during my MCAT last year and when we came back everyone's MCAT was on the start section page...waiting.

So does this mean that people in the same room can be starting/finishing sections at different times? If so, can't that be bothersome, if people are entering/exiting while you're still testing?
