Im a little confused about MCPHS. I know there is a Boston campus and a Worcester/Manchester campus. Here are my questions:

1. Is the Boston campus only for 6 year program applicants?

2. Does the Boston campus take transfer students, and if so, is the application process on PharmCAS?

3. Can we apply to both campuses if Boston is a 4 year PharmD program as well?

Can someone please shed some light on this for me? Thank you guys.

1. Boston is for both 6 year and transfer students.
2. They do not use PharmCAS. You can either apply online thru their website or print and mail a paper application.
3. You can only apply to one campus.
By the way you can find this info at www.mcphs.edu

Hey Rush,

Thanks for answering. My confusion comes from the fact that PharmCAS had an application for the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy- Boston. But MCPHS still says they dont participate in PharmCAS. Im not sure whats going on. Also, is there any one campus thats easier to get into?

thanks.

which campus is better to apply to? and which area is fun to live in?

yeah and how hard to get admission there?

I'm confused too. if they dont use pharmcas, why is it listed on there as a school designation?

I have the same questions? I am so confused😕

Is it possible to apply as a regular pharmd aspirant, not as a freshman in high school or someone who is in another pharmd program and wants transfer over?

From my understanding:

1. Boston Campus: Participates in PharmCAS; 6-year program but accepts transfers, very little though; so if you want to transfer in, it'll be a bit hard

2. Worcester Campus: DOES NOT participate in PharmCAS; for those that who have already finished their pre-req at another school

Depends what you like. Boston campus is always fun if you like the big city life, although you won't have time to do a lot, but when you have time, it's right there.

Worcester is bigger than Manchester, but smaller than Boston. Worcester and Manchester are ~1hr drive to Boston so if you don't have exams, then you can always drive there.

Worcester is also an hour drive to Providence, RI, so I guess you have 2 destination choices... lol... The best would be to visit all 3 sites and see which one you like best.

I just came from an interview at MCPHS-Boston and they stated that that confusion came because they just switched to PharmCAS this year. I am a transfer student (coming from an undergraduate degree somewhere else). I applied via PharmCAS and then did a supplemental application from their website.

congret psushc2008 on your interview, can you please share your stat. I'm a transfered applicant also, haven't heard from them yet though.
