Hi,
I will be a P1 in the fall at MCPHS boston. Any advice on what to study before school starts?? I know most of you will say to relax and enjoy the summer but I feel that if I study a little over the summer it will make my first year less stressful. For example, I would like to start memorizing the top 200 drugs. If anyone at MCPHS has this list I would greatly appreciate it having access to it. Also, is there anything else I can do to better prepare? Thanks soo much!

Hey-

Third year or P1 or whatever they call it now isnt really heavy drugs. I think they have students review a few meds for IPEP labs, but thats about it. You wont see the good stuff till about 4th year (P2) with medchem and pcol. Your best bet to prepare is to get a job at a community pharmacy to just familiarize yourself with drugs and what theyre used for.

From what I remember third year was just alot of exams constantly. Your hardest classes are probabley going to be biochem first and second semester and kinetics your second semester. Just stay on top of it and you should be fine. Enjoy your summer break.

Hi,

Stallion, do you go to MCPHS? Iheard for IPEP lab we have to memorize 20 drugs every week.
