Hi All I'm applying to MCPHS Boston and I'm doing the supplemental right now,

by any chance do any of you know how long the essay is suppose to be? It does not specify on the page so does that mean there is no limit?

I would appreciate any knowledge that anyone knows about this 🙂

Also does anyone know... is MCPHS Boston only for high school students who havent gotten a BA/BS yet?? Or can people who have already completed it apply?? their website is not that helpful...lol

Hi boohoo123. No, it is not only for high school students. You can apply there as a transfer even if you're working on your Bachelor's or finishing your Bachelor's. However, they are mostly for the 0-6 program, so I've heard that they are very competitive to get in as a transfer, meaning it'll be hard to get in. I talked to the Transfer Advisor (I visited campus last year) and he told me that number vary per year but some years there have been as little as 10 seats for transfers... so let's cross our fingers and hope for the best! We should totally keep in contact though, just to check on the progress of the applications, interviews, etc...

Oh, and I'm working on the supplemental as well. It looks like there is really no limit. I tried and pasted a really long essay (into the application) and it didn't say anything about going over character limits... So I'm assuming they're not worrying to much about length... Hopefully my assumption is right? I'll probably email Brian about it tomorrow just to make sure...

Yes. It depends on the prerequisites you have taken. They have a really nice breakdown of the prerequisites here http://www.mcphs.edu/admission-and-aid/transfer-applicants/how-to-apply/pharmacy-pharmd
Depending on those (and availability of seats in each year of course!) they will take you either into year 2 or year 3. Are you finishing your Bachelor's?

Oh that's cool. Where else are you applying? Is MCPHS your #1 school?
