I will be off campus, more than likely. I'm an older student and would prefer to have my own space. I had considered 10 Lincoln over 25 Foster for that reason.
 
From what they told me last week, you do not need to leave the dorms during holidays if you dont want to.

I live in AZ so it might take longer like a week to get here?
I really hope it's an acceptance packet not a denial letter..
 
I called to ask and you can stay for the holidays. I want to live in Lincoln because of the amenities, but I feel like living in Foster makes it easier to make friends

i dont know where to live! does anyone have any insight? I'm coming from CA and I dont know anyone over there, so I feel like Foster might be a good idea but living with 6 other people is a lot but living with 3 other people is 3k more per year.

im coming from CA too. i want to live on lincoln because of the amenities but most likely I will be forced to live in foster just because it is cheaper and more convenient.
 
It looks to me like Lincoln is cheaper though assuming you don't living in the renovated 1 person.
 
Everyone is already talking about where they want to live! I really hope all the seats are not full for pharmacy school. I've applied, and now I'm just waiting for PharmCAS to mail my application out to the school. I'm really hoping for some good news!

Given the cost of living in the Northeast, the renovated rate is still way cheaper than renting in an apartment complex. It's a pretty good deal.

Good luck to you! They are rolling, so they continue to evaluate for a long time! Don't worry.... I read on here that people were being admitted up until the summer months.

Hi Pharmgirl001 - yes, you have to write a short essay on the interview day. By short I mean a page and a half on one of four topics. They are all based on you and your experiences, and are very easy to complete. Good luck!

I applied for FOSTER only because its convenient. Not much driving necessary and I think that our first year we need to be super 110% on the ball so that if 2nd year is hard, our first year has enough cushion!

I know some of us found out a while back but it gives me chills every time!

Remember that we are only sharing common space, which is good for making friends.

As far as 6 people, you will still have your own private room.

Just think of it.

You already have a 6 member study group waiting for you!

Hi Everyone! After much consideration, I have decided to withdraw my acceptance spot from MCPHS- Worcester so here is one more spot for someone else who have decided MCPHS is the school! I really liked MCPHS but got accepted to UOP and will be going there instead. I wish everyone the best of luck and congrats to everyone who have been accepted 🙂 🙂 🙂

they say up to 3 weeks but from what i've seen they practically decide the moment you walk out the door. i interviewed on a friday and the date of my acceptance letter was on a monday.
 
Oh cool! So maybe it's on the way. I felt like I did really well honestly, so that's why I'm kind of anxious to find out! Thanks!

I second this. Had my interview on a Friday at 9am and acceptance was sent out the same day.
 
this may be a silly question but I know that school starts Fall 2013, is that late august or in september?

Did anyone get the opportunity to tour 10 Lincoln? The housing department has been terrible in terms of answering questions about the room dimensions and if they are painted a certain color or just white.

Anyone know?
 
Hey guys just got accepted to the 3 year pharm d program. I was wondering does anyone know any info about housing? maybe from someone whos already going there. BTW the interview is very laid back. so good luck to all those applying

My interview was on Nov 1. i am from Fl so this will be a complete diff environment

If anyone doesnt mind sharing,how was the interview? Was it really laid back? Were essay topics very general? How long was the interview. Also, how quick are they to respond if you were accepted or not? Any sort of info would be greatly appreciated. 🙂
 
The interview is very laid back. I actually ended up being really cool with guy. The essay is very general like. whats most inspirational thing in ur life? or what adversities did u face? The staff are very nice. Interview questions are general like why pharmacy, why mcphs, what skills do u posses? you should be fine. jst dont be nervous. I am accepted already 🙂

If you read back through this thread there is a lot of info about the interviews. Also look at the menu at the top of the page, select "Articles and Interviews" and then "Interview Feedback" under the Pharmacy heading. Choose the school's name and you can find all the info you need. I also completed a feedback survey after my interview on 11/1. Good luck!

I have an interview on Dec 8. I am trying to figure out a place to stay and transportation since I won't be renting a car. I am flying into Boston airport and I am from CA. I have looked up Days Inn, Comfort Inn - Auburn, and Double Tree. For those of you who did not rent a car, how did you get from the airport to the place you stayed at and how you got form the place to the school?

I took a shuttle that cost around 70 bucks. Then I stayed at the courtyard Marriott which is around .5 miles from mcphs. They offer free shuttle service to anywhere nearby so I was able to see what the city has to offer since I'll be there for the next few years.
 
Courtyard Marriott also has a discount for mcphs pharmacy students u can go on mcph website n click on the hotel n they give u a discount!!!! Good luck don't be nervous the interview is so laid back!!!
 
I got accepted!!!! I hope to see you all in fall 2013.

how long did it take for mcphs to cash your deposit? i got an email saying they received it on the 19th but they still haven't cashed it.
