I am not an OD student but wouldnt it benefit if the curriculum was 50% lecture and 50% clinical? I mean, the boards part 1 is mostly based on basic sciences, so schools need to train students well on that aspect.

I feel like the boards material can e covered within a 1.5 years, clinical is more important since thats what ODs do for a living, bc I know some doctors have RIDIC communication skills and clinicals probably help that a lot!

Optometry = self employment = social personality/slick

If your a nerd with no communication skills nor are business minded, best you do vision science and research.

Very true, if you are extremely shy and/or have no personality this is not the field for you. Also, if you want to be an employee the rest of your life, this is not the field for you.
