Waitlisted up until Aug 12th of that year and then got an email saying my time ran out.

I did get in but I rescinded my acceptance because I got into my first choice. I just hope some one else on this awesome forums gets the spot!!! Plus I get really excited when others succeed🙂 Good Luck all!

I called MCV about two weeks ago and they said they were going to send out acceptances this past week (26th-30th). Then after reading SDN, I called back this week and they said they would let us know this coming week...or the week after. Good luck everyone.

hey all. i just got an automated email from VCU informing me that my status had changed. i was assuming that this was the email i had been waiting for, telling me if i got in or not. however, when i checked my status, nothing had changed. the interview information was still up, nothing new. has this happened with anyone else, or is it just me? does this mean i'm waitlisted? when i interviewed there, they said that their email system does have some errors and i was thinking maybe this was a glitch. who knows. i'm confused. anyway, hope you people hear some good news from them.

Don't worry, UCIGrad. I think all the acceptances/holds go out at once. Considering that no one else heard anything today, I don't think that the "status change" was meaningful. Maybe it just means that your file was reviewed and you were assigned the post-interview priority score.

I don't think we'll hear til next week. I hope we all get accepted!

e-mailed Dr. Heldberg. She said the committee hasn't made a decision on when it will have the next round of acceptances. She said most likely in a week or two. Pretty vague though

i called the admissions office the other day to inquire whether my file went to the committee. they told me that the majority of the files have been reviewed and that decisions will be mailed out sometime next week, hopefully. good luck everyone, hopefully it'll be good news. best wishes.

So are we supposed to be hearing from them tomorrow - or was that March 29 date just given to us so that we could have a date in mind...? I'm anxious to hear, but I'm afraid that since the waitlists seem to like me, I might be headed down that road again... 🙄
On the other hand, the notice says that they won't be able to hand out their final offers until *after* 3/29.. Oh well, I'm gonna wait up to see the status page update if there is one tonight!

My bet is that you will probably hear tomorrow morning. the admissions committee normally meets on Monday, so they should have decisions made by this afternoon, and post them tomorrow morning around 6 am.

Well it's past the 29th meeting. I would have expected notice if I had been accepted, alternate listed, or rejected but nothing came. I logged on and at the top of the status page, it says:

"After the Committee meeting on March 15, 2004 it is apparent that our final offers will not be made until after March 29, 2004. We are sorry for this delay. "

AHA, after. Great, more waiting.

waitlisted, in-state, i believe the waitlist moves a lot if you are out of state, you probably have a pretty good chance if you are waitlisted out of state.
