You could always come to class to pull the stunt on Marty, then you could hear your ring tone. (Your phone sounds about as popular as mine right now.)

My cats eyes look really cool with an opthalmoscope. She didn't really like the experience though.

PM Marc with your phone number. Do NOT answer the phone. He will leave you voice mails. That way you'll get to hear your entire ring tone, multiple times I'm sure.

It seems, today, all you see is violence in movies and sex on tv.

But, where is all of that in med school?

See, now that just shows me that your class is studying too hard. By this time last year we had at least 3.5 bar brawls, 2 love children conceived, and 5 appearances on the Jerry Springer show.

We do seem to have some people working on the love child part though - I've seen some cutesy cuddling in library.

They started doing that with block 2 for us last year. I was happy that I didn't have to stand in the hallway with everyone. I could see my score from the privacy of my own home and cry as needed. 😉

well, I'd have to check the stalker book to see where they went to undergrad and to see if they were single upon arriving, but the increasing level of affection leads me to believe they met here. His facebook doesn't indicate relationship status, so I got nothing there.
 
My hometown made it into the news. I think the last time we got into Milwaukee news channels was when we had the supposedly haunted house where weird stuff was happening.

I'm so proud. Mostly cause I wish I coulda been on the ambulance responding to the kid that got hit by the truck.

Congrats, Marc. But, what about the botulism ducks? Did you forget about the ducks eating fish which then got botulism and had floppy necks in the swamps near Horicon? Barbieri said that was on the news...

This is late, but that's because I just got off call. My specific reference was to OB/GYN. And to be fair, it's 80 hours averaged over 4 weeks. My two weeks so far have put me at 149 hours... so "well" below averaging 80.

I plan on taking my borderline insanity out on an unnamed team in the intramural softball tournament game this afternoon. Despite my team reaching this point without a win, I have great confidence that we won't give up 10 runs in one inning (this time).

Softball? Are all teams playing? hmmm... Matt must've not told me about it. Oh well... more time for me to work in the lab with my fibroblasts and titanium... what a perfect time for an experiment to end.

I doubt all of the teams were playing, as the fields weren't busy enough for that many games to be planned. I have no idea how they set up the tournament or anything like that...as I mentioned, my team sucked too hard to actually earn a spot if it was based on merit. Maybe your team will play next weekend--I know there are some games planned for at least the winning teams from today then.

Oh, and I would like to apologize to everyone for my optimism. My team did, in fact, give up 10 runs in one inning. Although, I did manage to score a run (sliding into second and home in the process), so all was not a bust.
 
My team ended the season 4-0, but don't have enough people willing to play in the tournament. Neither did maybe a third of the teams from what I heard. It sucks that we didn't play. Originally we were in. Then we were told that because of our record we'd have a bye this weekend and play next weekend which was awesome. Then we were told that since so many teams dropped out, we'd have to play the first day. Well, because of that, a bunch of our players dropped out cuz they weren't planning on playing and we just got told that on Thursday.

I think we were perhaps going to combine with Team Tuler, but even with both teams we didn't have enough.


Prowler, have fun at Body Worlds. I went in August. It was awesome that I actually knew stuff. It was good review to explain to my brother and mom.

I hear ya. I think if they're gonna have a tourney, schedule it from the beginning so people know. I felt like we were scrambling to get things together.

Our team name on the sheet was "bye," but it lost it's appeal when the schedule was done by numbers instead of names. So our real name was the Boxing Donkeys. I think we were originally name Bye cuz no one gave any input. We eventually got shirts with donkeys, but we won our last two games by forfeit (M3s). Disappointing.

In case anyone cares about current events, here's something about the earthquake in HI. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,220977,00.html

My house is fine, just knocked out all the power on Maui. Maui doesn't even get mentioned in any of the articles, we're closer to the epicenter than Oahu.

I hate path. 😡 Though, if the test were all Robbins Review, at least I'd live through it.

That's scary when a disaster hits while you're far from home, even if the damage seems to be superficial. I hope everything turns out okay and that you kick path's butt!

I think my brother was more scared -- apparently since the power's out, he can't go to work because Starbuck's is closed, and everyone's told to stay at home because of landslides... he's home alone, and hetried calling my parents (who are visiting my other brother in spokane), but our cell phones now have funky service (since they're HI numbers). I had wondered why it was weird trying to get through to their cells when I tried calling.

I can't believe Starbucks closed. Hell, on September 11th in New York they charged rescue personnel for water they were going to use to treat people.

I just went to Chancery for dinner with my wifey and met up with another couple from school, hung out in the bar for a little while with a couple people and bailed.


April, Bodyworlds was cool - a little eerie in the sense that some of the bodies weren't 80 year olds like most of our cadavers, so it's odd to think of someone like yourself being immortalized like that. I'm glad I went - I actually think I might have been more fascinated if I'd gone before taking anatomy, since I already know what a lot of those structures look like. Still, I am pretty awed by the dissection skills of those people - all the branches of the facial nerve were completely pulled out.
 
I inadvertantly went to my high school homecoming football game on Friday. They needed an extra body to man the ambulance which sits there in the cold, in the hopes that a player hurts himself. I felt a sense of duty and went, not knowing it was "the big game." I can't imagine how much it would suck if I had to go to the dance, too.

The scary thing is that the Horicon Marshmen are doing really well this year, and won something like 50-13. Not that I give a shti.

Much, much, much better than block one. I think I was helped by the box of Lucky Charms in the front row on the biochem exam too.
 
I find a pretest mental warm up to help quite a bit. But I also crush some ritalin and snort it.
