that's a very good possibility.
that's a very good possibility.
what is everybody hoping to get for Christmas?
any and all comments about grades/tests/school are hereby null and void and unacceptable answers.
How about -- I haven't even had time to think about what I want, and I've neglected to get my brothers anything. I usually have my Christmas shopping done in March. =(

I'm hoping to get some more nice shirts and slacks for school so I can shop for fun, borderline professional ties.
Also Scrubs season 4 on DVD would be pretty cool.
Now if you guys hear what my wife wants for Christmas, lemme know. She's wicked hard to shop for.
biochem en una hora. I scored *just* high enough on the last full-length practice exam I took to get the grade I want.....
Get ready for the final stretch, folks.
Since everyone else seems to be posting motivational videos, here's one:
1. Not everyone here celebrates Christmas, Mr. Insensitive. I'm going to find your permanent file somewhere and make a complaint about your non-professionalism and stuff.... so yeah. 😛
When you hit that mid-afternoon studying burnout wall, you need a new montage!!!

2. I wish I was done this week too... although that's about all the envy you guys get from me. Enjoy it while you can.

I would never, ever trade places with an M2, even if I do have another week of CT surgery.
you must not be very dedicated to medicine. truly dedicated health care professionals would GLADLY retake second year over, and again and again if it means more knowledge and being able to improve patient care.
you people make me sick. i am most glad to have these chances to prove my knowledge, test my basic science skills, and achieve academic excellence. we should be grateful they provide us with these opportunities to give back to them and show how well they have taught us. i think we should be having exams more often, and each one should be cumulative from all the previous material as well...this is important information and we need to retain it all.
such complainers. what doctors you will all make. I hope your patients will see through your false professionalism and see you for what you all are.
Don't be mean to Don like that, even if he did kill the thread for a few hours. (Honestly, Don, how do you do it?)

you're just jealous because I own 2 copies of Netter. That means I can keep one at home AND school...another sign of a truly dedicated professional...unlike you posers. POSERS!!!!!!!!!
wow, the slacker tendencies are in full swing during finals weekDid I totally miss out on all of this while I was taking block 1 this year (which I was told I was the only one who actually had to take that to get my MD -- Splat said everyone else got it at the end of last year and I was just behind).
On a sadder note. I actually have to start studying micro now. AD season 3 -- the 4 episodes I watched last night, were quite enjoyable. I guess even House, Nip/Tuck, and cleaning my kitchen weren't bad either.

I find that finals week (especially during first year) is really a war of attrition with the prize being your sanity. I think those that end up doing well on the cumulative exams are those that are able to avoid going absolutely bonkers during the course of their studying.
Ashers is a fine example of how to effectively budget your time during finals week. Those folks that have been in the same nerd-room for the past five days and don't remember what the inside of a shower looks like will find their effort doesn't quite match up to their grades.
Except I just put ALL my micro notes in 1 binder... that's a lot of stuff. I'm hoping that I really did learn it well the first time, so now all I have to do is review it and burn my buffer. 😀 (Buffer => no motivation)
Tutor notes are a lot shorter. Plus, they're on the internets, which is also where SDN is. 😉
says the guy who told me that my policy of "I stop studying when I stop absorbing" wouldn't work during finals?I find that finals week (especially during first year) is really a war of attrition with the prize being your sanity. haha, after searching Myspace for a while, I found the first girl I kissed. except now she's in Florida, with an infant from some ghetto-fabulous skinhead, and she has pictures of herself posing on a pool table in a crowded bar.Is myspace just a mechanism by which people keep track of their ex-girlfriends and boyfriends?

truly moving.I took a moment out of my studies today to remember why I am attending medical school in the first place. I urge you all to watch this inspiring video, and realize yet again the awesome impact one doctor can have on their patients.

No, and my name isn't Alexei.
guys...pick my hat for test day. The usual EMS cap, or my army camo boonie hat for jungle missions.

It must be go time. I woke up this morning with a tiny part of my brain reciting everything it knows about Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and then spent five minutes throwing punches in front of the mirror. Bring it.
