How about -- I haven't even had time to think about what I want, and I've neglected to get my brothers anything. I usually have my Christmas shopping done in March. =(

I'm hoping to get some more nice shirts and slacks for school so I can shop for fun, borderline professional ties.

Also Scrubs season 4 on DVD would be pretty cool.

Now if you guys hear what my wife wants for Christmas, lemme know. She's wicked hard to shop for.

holy ****, biochem just ripped me a new one. that was a LOT harder than the pansy material the class of 04 got.

2. I wish I was done this week too... although that's about all the envy you guys get from me. Enjoy it while you can.

So turning one's autobot form from a super sleek hot rod to an RV makes one a "grown up" transformer....I never understood that. Or maybe I was jealous cause my brother has the "Hot Rod" version and I ended up with the older, more mature, and more boring "Rodimus Prime." And he had the robot version of entropion. Nice.

you must not be very dedicated to medicine. truly dedicated health care professionals would GLADLY retake second year over, and again and again if it means more knowledge and being able to improve patient care.

you people make me sick. i am most glad to have these chances to prove my knowledge, test my basic science skills, and achieve academic excellence. we should be grateful they provide us with these opportunities to give back to them and show how well they have taught us. i think we should be having exams more often, and each one should be cumulative from all the previous material as well...this is important information and we need to retain it all.

such complainers. what doctors you will all make. I hope your patients will see through your false professionalism and see you for what you all are.

you're just jealous because I own 2 copies of Netter. That means I can keep one at home AND school...another sign of a truly dedicated professional...unlike you posers. POSERS!!!!!!!!!

He's right. Unfortunately, medical schools force you to move on to your third year after you complete Step 1, so you don't have that opportunity to enhance your education. That's why I study 22 hours a day.

Oh yeah? Well I already have a PDA copy of Netter for my rotations next year. Coolness factor: infinity.

(I am really just hoping it will make up for the fact that I didn't bother learning much anatomy last year. No, seriously.)
 
Did I totally miss out on all of this while I was taking block 1 this year (which I was told I was the only one who actually had to take that to get my MD -- Splat said everyone else got it at the end of last year and I was just behind).

On a sadder note. I actually have to start studying micro now. AD season 3 -- the 4 episodes I watched last night, were quite enjoyable. I guess even House, Nip/Tuck, and cleaning my kitchen weren't bad either.

I must admit, I was a bit surprised when I rolled in at 7:15am to find that all but ONE nerd room had been claimed. I claimed that one, and now I'm going to take a nap here in the library. 😀

I find that finals week (especially during first year) is really a war of attrition with the prize being your sanity. I think those that end up doing well on the cumulative exams are those that are able to avoid going absolutely bonkers during the course of their studying.

Ashers is a fine example of how to effectively budget your time during finals week. Those folks that have been in the same nerd-room for the past five days and don't remember what the inside of a shower looks like will find their effort doesn't quite match up to their grades.

Except I just put ALL my micro notes in 1 binder... that's a lot of stuff. I'm hoping that I really did learn it well the first time, so now all I have to do is review it and burn my buffer. 😀 (Buffer => no motivation)

Tutor notes are a lot shorter. Plus, they're on the internets, which is also where SDN is. 😉

haha, after searching Myspace for a while, I found the first girl I kissed. except now she's in Florida, with an infant from some ghetto-fabulous skinhead, and she has pictures of herself posing on a pool table in a crowded bar.

I took a moment out of my studies today to remember why I am attending medical school in the first place. I urge you all to watch this inspiring video, and realize yet again the awesome impact one doctor can have on their patients.
