I'll send you our test info and then you can decide for yourselves....

lets see if we could possibly debate this any more.....
In the real world.....NO ONE CARES. Not doctors, nurses, patients, hospital administration.....NO ONE. As long as you are a competent physician with a good bedside manner, courteous and respectful of others. The only idiots that care about this debate are premeds....grow up and realize that these will be your colleagues.

All that I'm saying is that we're ALL REALLY BUSY!!!! I'm in a DO school and I really can't imagine an MD student being in much deeeper than their DO counterparts... Relax!!! You guys act like I spat on A.T. Still's grave!!

I'm a member of the AT Still University of Health Sciences...but anyways.

I think that any additional classes added to a similar curriculum make that curriculum more difficult. DOs have additional materials and labs to participate in, so I don't think it is unruly to say their courseload is more difficult than an MDs.

By the same token, I'm nearly positive that my DDS courseload is more difficult than an MDs.

Knowing 2 people, one who is a student in a dental school affiliated with a large university and another who is in medical (MD) school affilitated with the same university, I would have to agree with this.

At least according to what I have seen both of these individuals go through over the last 2 years regarding coursework, courseload, and schedule.

Maybe "more difficult" isn't the proper designation. But, it seems that my dental school friend has a more intense workout.

Just my observation.

For me medical school doesnt appear inherently difficult. I can do the work. It's just so damn much.

🙂

JP, you are 100% correct, and that is what I meant to convey.

MD, DO, DDS, whatever, none of them are impossible, but the workload is enough to drive one insane.

My observation is that we have to take the MD classes AND lab classes during the first two years.

Plus, we are in charge of our own patients and their treatment plans while in school, physicians handle that during their PGYs.

Exactly what I was trying to say.... We're all in the same, slowly sinking boat!!!!
