I feel like a broken record in these threads, however....
I promise being a DO really isn't so bad. My MD school has plenty of DO faculty (from FM to competitive surgical subspecialties). The snooty people who would look down on you are jerks, and the rest of the house of medicine just laughs at them.
I know being a DO would make it harder for you to become an orthopedic neurodermatologist dancingpeaches, but honestly, regardless of what school you end up at, you probably won't be competitive enough to become an orthopedic neurodermatologist anyway. Try to relax for now. Save your energy/anxiety for later during your 28+ hour shifts in med school or residency. Or for the battle to match your #1 orthopedic neurodermatology residency.
But I was stressed in your shoes and wouldn't have listened to me either. If I could go back I'd smell the roses a bit more.
