MD/PhD hurt chances?

This is probably a re-post- but I can't find any answers when I searched- but if you apply MD/PhD to some programs does it hurt your chances to get in for just MD? I don't really have MD/PhD grades- but I want to get into an MD/PhD Epi program. In my masters in Epi- I have a 3.9. But my undergrads weren't stellar... so if I apply for some PhD programs will it hurt my chances to just do MD?
