I'm applying to about 10 different MD/PhD programs, but most of them seem to want to use specialized recommendation forms for the letters.

If anybody out there is applying MD/PhD or went thru it previously, did you ask your recommenders to fill out 10 different forms and write 10 different letters? That seems like a big hassle to impose on the people that are going to be vouching for me. I originally told each MD/PhD recommender just to write one letter and save it until I received the MD/PhD applications. So I'd rather not go back to them now and say, 'sorry I have to ask you to write 10 different letters and fill out 10 different forms.'

I'm using a premed committee for the regular MD letters, so this only applies to the specialized research letters of rec that I'm sending to the combined degree programs.
