Can anyone give me information on MD PhD applicant pools? Specifically, how many people apply to MD-PhD programs for a given school out of the total? Also, how many publications do you need to have? Do they have to be first author?

I am looking at private schools such as BU, USC, GW.

I have one 1st author already published; I am writing another one. Also, I will have some 2nd authors too.
