Can a MD teach a course:medicine, chemistry, biology etc at a local CC? Just wondering since most positions only require a masters right?

MD can teach courses at universities and medical schools, so what do you think?

Also, people with BAs (and sometimes less) teach at CCs....

An MD "retired" and she now teaches at my CC. She teaches A&P and cadaver lab. Coolest lady ever. 😀

Yupe; my current anatomy professor is an M.D

There's no such thing as being overqualified in academia so yes.

Both my anatomy professors were foreign trained md's......india and pakistan.....both amazing men

When you say a course in "medicine"....

Out of curiosity, what exactly are the venues that require a teaching certificate/license? Is it just high school and below?[/QUOTE]

Yes, I believe so, without looking it up.

I think even with a bachelors most places still require a teaching certification.

Depends. Private/Charter schools only require that you have at least 18 credits in whatever subject you will teach. I'm in a gap year and I'm teaching high school Biology at a charter school with a BS in Bio.
