Unfortunately, despite what arguments you may have heard from various medical practicioners...earning an MD is better than an DO.

Osteopathic schools are normally considered fall backs schools who will give you similar training and roughly the same income relative to your specialty. It's no different than switching to Denistry to earn roughly $100,000/yr because you couldn't get the MD and were affraid to go for the DO or Podiatry - due to some social stereotype.

Sign...a real MD, M1

Enough Said.

P.S. Sounds harsh, but if you really wanted the MD, you could earn it if you gave it all you had. I did.

you are pathetic. Harvard teaches OMM now. Here is a thought, I LIKE THE FACT THAT DO STUDENTS GET OVER 200 HOURS OF PHYSICAL DIAGNOSIS TRAINING IN THE FIRST 2 YEARS OF MEDICAL SCHOOL! MD STUDENTS ONLY GET 7.... WANT TO KNOW SOMETHING ELSE THAT IS FUNNY? PATIENTS AND INSURANCE COMPANIES LIKE US MORE BECAUSE THE PATIENTS RECOVER FASTER WITH DOs because of our ADDITIONAL TRAINING.. Face it bro DOs get all the training that MDs do PLUS MORE!!. I hope i never run into you.. Pathetic punk.

You're just upset because you were screwd and had to go for the D.O.

Wow... insurance companies like DO's more. Want to give some evidence of that? Isn't the rate of malpractice lawsuits higher for DO's than MD's?

Well, you would think that insurance companies wouldn't be happy with DOs since they can bill for OMT. Where did you get that DOs have a higher malpractice rate? I feel like eating a cyanide tablet now that I have posted in a DO vs MD thread.

can a moderator please close this thread out? TN doc is a troll!
