As the 2004 application cycle comes to a close, I'd just like to remind folks that your anonymous contributions to MDapplicants.com are greatly appreciated by current premedical students sorting through and narrowing down their lists of schools. If you added a profile earlier in the year, but haven't updated it since the completion of all your interviews and receiving final decisions from schools, please take a quick moment to do so. For premedical students trying to learn from the past experiences of other applicants similar to themselves, the site can be a very useful resource.
As of June 3rd, the site indexes 1521 profiles, with an average overall GPA of 3.61, science GPA of 3.59, and MCAT score of 31.4. The average applicant is 23.5 years old, applied to 13.8 schools, was invited to 5.8 interviews, and received 2.5 acceptances. Since the launch of this site on January 8th, 2003, there have been over 200,000 visits, over 700,000 searches performed, and over 2.5 million pages served.
