I actually don't have that many haha, it was just a way for me to keep me occupied instead of constantly staring at my inbox or SDN. 😛
It's pretty much a timeline of what's going on with the schools, nothing super fancy.
 
I managed to get in contact with one of the admins on the site! they said they were unaware of the problem and would look into it. Hopefully it's fixed soon so we can get back to our compulsive updating lol

I actually PMed Xalia a few days ago (the owner). S/he got back to me this morning to tell me s/he had no idea and would look into it, too.

I just got my first two interviews and I need to celebrate in a public forum! More celebration is required 🙂

EDIT: The worst part is that I already updated my super complicated google doc spreadsheet but it's insufficient. I must update MORE things. Everyone must know of my updates! (Also, I put one school down as a rejection and it was the wrong school and it is driving me bananas that I can't change it!)

EDIT: GUYS I just got it to work and updated my apps. Feels good.

I've been trying since last night to register and I keep getting "validation code is invalid" errors. I assure you I'm typing in the right code! 😡
 
Yep, there are a couple issues identified:
- The CAPTCHA isn't working right.
- There are login problems.
- There are problems with the e-mail verifications going out.

The new server is slightly different than the old server, and the foundational code of mdapplicants doesn't like that.

The SDN tech folks are looking into it, but this is a holiday week. I don't really have an ETA (since they haven't given me one).

Thanks for the update. I've got so much to add now after I interviewed today. Oi, that's how I wind down. :-(

I've never been on MDapps and don't understand why people like it so much? Someone fill me in. 😕
 
anyone having trouble making an actual account? I keep getting an error message telling me that the security code I typed is incorrect

It's soooo satisfying to somehow share your good news with the world... especially under the guise of doing it to help others! 😛

But seriously, I like its format to help me keep track of things and actually kind of wish I could keep my profile private until the cycle's over. Ah well.

Because it's yet another way to fulfill our neurotic and obsessive tendencies. Also, it kind of feels good to add interviews and acceptances. It's actually a stress reliever for me. And it's so ungodly convenient to see someone's stats right off the bat when they say they're interviewing and such.

I've been trying to make one for days, same problem. I guess we'll just have to wait until they fix it.

Lol point taken. Maybe I'll change it, though it is useful for when people ask for your timeline with different schools, stats etc.

It is really helpful when you are picking schools to apply to. If you're like a lot of premeds you fall within the 10%-90%th of most schools in the MSAR. Mdapps let you narrow down the list even more. You look up people with similar stats and you start seeing patterns. People with these stats and from this part of the country got interviews here.

It is also very helpful because it lists when people with stats similar to yours got interviews, how long they had to wait for acceptances, etc.
 
It works!

edit: you have to log in twice for some reason.
edit edit: now it doesn't work anymore. at least I got to add some stuff.
