Does anybody know how mdpotential.com calculates its percentages? I've run searches in mdapps using identical search criteria that the mdpotential links display when you click on them. Every time, I get different, most often vastly lower, percentages 🙁. Anybody know?

According to that site, I shouldn't have been interviewed at the school I was accepted to.

It looks like it just tallies info from MDApplicants...
That's what it claims, but either it can't calculate percentages correctly or it has additional data that's not mdapps. With my stats mdpotential says that I have a 40% chance of getting in at School X. But when I run identical searches directly in mdapps, only 5 of the 20 profiles got in. 25%. I've seen this at almost every school. Take the mdpotential percentage, divide it roughly in half, and that's the percentage you get directly from mdapps. What the crap?

did you include all the scores lower than you?

Nope. I copied the exact ranges used by mdpotential. They were the exact same searches. They pulled up the exact same profiles as the mdpotential links.
