Meat market?

This is kind of funny but I guess I'll ask...
I am in the process of completing my application paperwork and looking into different schools where I would like to go. Yesterday my husband talked with a friend who had talked with one of his friends (an older dentist who graduated from NYU many years ago) about me and my dream to go to school....Anyway, the guy said something like he would not recommend to go to NYU because we will get divorced...😕 that NYU was a "meat market" (this were his words) Wich is very funny since another friend who has no relationship with the first one mention the same thing to my husband...and used THE SAME words, "meat market" 😕
I think that is kind of silly to say the least but still and given the coincidence in the words I wanted to ask if some of you have heard such a thing and what is the deal with this....
I must add I don't consider myself a beauty queen (good meat?😀 ) but I am just curious....

well it is very funny indeed!!! u kno i heard that NYU is'nt the best choice either but for diff reasons...one of the indian dentists here who is n NYU grad said that it was a BOGUS school...but MEAT MARKET???? gross😱

i too heard somthing like that, not very good reports abt the school, but still beggars can tbe choosers, with the competition becoming so stiff day by day, it shouldnt deter anyone from going there if offered a spot only there n nowhere else.......
