Medical College of Wisconsin
Pros

• Great location, live 30 minutes away
• Surrounded by a hospital system (clinical rotations close by)
• Associated with Froedtert (great teaching hospital)
• Good research and true P/F

Cons

• Unranked/not as high of a ranking
• Started with a new curriculum a few years ago

UW-Madison SMPH
Pros

• Higher ranking (based on what I have seen and from being in WI but I might be biased)
• Great research, more research funding
• True P/F, except for clinicals
• Almost $20,000 cheaper in tuition

Cons

• Farther from where I live/living costs (1/1.5 hour drive)
• Internal rankings
• Clinical rotations can be scattered in rural areas

Summary: MCW is extremely close to my house so I would save on the cost of an apartment. It is a very good medical school, but UW-Madison SMPH carries that extra reputation/higher rankings from what I have seen. Also, they have more research opportunities due to higher funding. It would be great if anyone who got both acceptances let me know what swayed them to a certain school and if they enjoyed their experience!
