I wanted to get a feel for what I should do in my current situation from those of you whom spend more time reading up on all the great info on here. PLEASE DON"T REPLY with "TL-DNR"
I have now set the standard for myself after a disappointing 3.45 Freshman cGPA, This lead me to dropping playing for Div-1aa Football team(walked on). Have had 4.0 since. Ex Navy SEAL. cGPA = 3.67
About, lol, 8 weeks ago ulcerative colitis symptoms began, been hospitalized for 2 weeks now, absent from classes for 3 weeks straight.

WHAT DO I DO? I will never let go of a B if I attempt to just make up the work when I get back. My courses (BioII and ChemII) aren't offered but during springs. I refuse to goto CC and money isn't a matter.
My school offers time extensions on situations like mine...but that up to each individual professor this would be awesome...but what if I missed enough lecture topics that I get "in-class" questions wrong?
I guess I would just have to accept the additional year, complete oddball requirements for graduation...boost GPA, begin research for credit hours, and enjoy my life 🙂 sucks for a year delay in finally starting medical school unless I wheel and deal with my administration to waive "prereqs".
- This is the least stressful and I could easily accept BUT
WHAT WOULD TOP TIER RESEARCH Medical Admissions think of that?
I really want to attend either Northwestern, U o Chicago (lol), etc etc
