Hello,

I was wondering how selecting an interview date worked.

Will schools give you a choice at all available slots at that current point in the application cycle or do they give you a specific range of dates you can look at like the entire month of October or only October 1st through the 7th to choose from. Basically, I'm curious if I should just stay home the entire fall because I am scared I won't be able to interview with a school or will I be able to go do what I want until I receive an email from a school.

Varies from school to school how wide the range of dates is. Say you get an interview invite on Sept 15th. Some school will give you dates ranging from Sept 25th - Oct 15th. Others will give you Oct - Dec right before Christmas. Some might just give you a two week range in November.

It varies but usually schools only interview on specific dates (I assume this hasn't changed significantly with more virtual interviews). So it may be a range but it will likely be specific dates within that range. Sometimes it's only one date but more often you have a choice of multiple dates. Also interviews can extend from as early as August to as late as March. Again this is school dependent.
