Notre Dame is going to get smoked. SEC dominates.

ND is independent so you can't really use a conference strength comparison in looking at this matchup.

How is this not locked yet?

Either way, I find it funny how if the general public perceived physicians by our activity on online forums they would probably be a bit more skeptical of the profession. Like that thread about the ED doc answering misc questions 😀

Are you serious?!!! HOW?????

Family friend is the strength-training coach who managed to get waaay upper level seats for around a thousand bucks, only problem is we're not sure if we'll be able to go all the way to Florida 🙁

Don't you go to ND btw Irish? At least I always thought you did.

Wow, lucky. You have to go! This is a once in a lifetime experience!

I'm gonna try!!!! This has been the most intense season for Notre Dame of my life!!!!

They should be playing Florida. I'm jealous you got tickets. I don't think ND is going to win but it should be a good game.

Does anyone know where MedPR got his MD acceptance to? It seems crazy he got an acceptance

ND always plays the under-dog 😎

The game is gonna be so intense, I wonder if any physicians will be in the stadium prepared for heart-attacks, and what their mind-state at the time would be, really shows the stress EDs can face (and that is how this thread just became pre-med relevant)

Ready the nitro!

Can't stand 'Bama winning again. Can we get a match-up with 2 non-SEC teams next season, please?

Not sure myself but I remember reading his MDapps and seeing he had around 3-4 MD interviews. I don't doubt he got in (excuse the double negative in this sentence).

I love how this thread turned into a mini lounge section in the pre-med section lol

I don't see the double negative. Did you fix it?

Why hasn't this been locked yet? It had nothing to do with premed anything when it started and has evolved into a combo of everything still not premed involved.

:lock: :lock: :lock: :lock: :lock:

"Doubt" isn't a negative (grammatically). A double negative would be something like "I won't not read the book."

Not to be a grammar nazi or anything...

It's probably debatable, but I think Josh and I were merely pointing out the phrase the poster felt was a double negative, regardless of grammatical correctness.

Edit: I only responded in the first place because this thread has reach an unholy level of uselessness and I thought I would contribute.

Only on SDN do people argue about grammar for like 7 posts lol

Why does this bother people? I never understand when people complain for locks on threads like this. Just ignore it.

edit: i guess i understand how this whole place could quickly degenerate if they didn't keep it on topic

maybe medpr has become a mod and this is his elaborate way of showing everyone- when he shuts down this thread and takes himself off hold.

Merry Christmas SDN!

Are you referring to neuroengineering? It makes sense in that case. I felt that the concepts in BME is more similar to Mat. Sci, such as the chemistry behind it. Biomaterials seems to emphasize that. I created a sword model for engineering fields... not sure where that went.

I do work in imaging. Mostly signal analysis.

I think is too broad to classify it as one single thing like mat engineering.

Have you been on reddit? Make one grammatical mistake and they will lynch you.

That is not a correct example of a double negative, both in its standard and nonstandard forms. Eng Maja baby!!!

Ouch. I didn't want to start an English debate (me no good in English). I guess the reason for myself stating a double negative is because I could have said "I am sure he got in." I am not saying it is correct that I stated it was a double negative but this is reason why I thought it was a double negative.

I well if you want to continue that is fine. I guess I could learn something from it. 😀

No excuses. You should just ask the moderators to ban you. 🙂

I guess it's better to be nice and clueless than blunt and useful?

Same, I don't get why people want threads to be locked so badly.

I don't think I've ever seen MedPR make direct attacks on someone's character, yet here you guys are, and quite a few of you, directly attacking him...

Pots gonna pot and Kettles gonna kettle.

Useless threads clog the front page and make searching less useful because it brings up pages that are full of unneeded "information."

How is this even relevant to premed stuff? There is a lounge where stuff like this can be posted! Post where it should be posted.

When you take away the ease of searching and relevance of the thread, SDN will cease to be a good place to go. Another website will pop up and replace it. Lock it because of this.

I'm glad...that dude was the worst

Yeah. Let's say that after the fact. I wasn't surprised that you and the other guys who despise medpr will come here and mock him. This doesn't concern you. Remember, you reap what you sow.

I agree with fivo that this thread is attracting rude haters.

This thread attracted a few bitter haters, so we tried to focus on other useless information while it is open. I would suggest to report this thread if you haven't done so.

And this is worse than the crap we see any other day, where clueless pre-meds turn hearsay into fact by repeating a piece of misinformation 100,000 times?
