Okay I know I've seen this sort of crap on this forum at least eleventy billion times before but my brain is too tired to find it right now. I need to pick out med schools to which to apply so I need some sort of guide comparing them.

ie. prices, deadlines, average matriculant mcat/gpa scores, etc...

I'm surprised EvoDevo hasn't attacked you for this yet, but I'm sure the reply would be:

"MSAR! MSAR! MSAR! MSAR! MSAR! MSAR! MSAR! MSAR!...ad infinitum"

😉
My brain exploded long ago. 😉

Hey, post that link in the applicants link thread at the top of the page. It's pretty good!

I can't imagine going through this process without an MSAR. If you have a pre-med club or committee, check and see if they have one you can check out.

Buy an MSAR here.

Once you have picked out some schools, I would go to their website and check out the curriculum style - i.e., classical with lots of lectures, "organ system" based, or PBL.

Also, the structure of the third year is, in my opinion, the most important thing! I require early electives since I have too many specialty interests to be able to pull rotations in them strictly in the fourth year. The match happens too quickly to waste time with 50 weeks of required rotations.

Here's a helpful link that I used in picking schools:
