LOL, no Guzzy for real you will be missed. I dont even know you but since I have been posting on the Meharry site, you have been very helpful. I wish you the best at which ever school you choose. No worries, God has a master plan in place, and even though you dont know exactly what it is, all that really matters is that you know you are a part of it!

Hey hey...anyone heard any good/bad news so far...please keep everyone posted...I've been waitlisted but nothing from them soo far...this wait is by far the worst...only 1 month to go

What I hear from the front admissions lady is that any major change to the waitlist is announced and spat out through an email to all students on that waitlist. SO hopefully, we will all hear something the next time the committee sits down to bump us up...this is giving me FREAKING ULCERS!!!

jk..anyway please keep everyone posted on whether you hear any news good or bad as something tends to calm the nerves better than nothing.

Only 24-25 days left till classes start. Every day is looking more and more grim.

I feel like the interview was just a taste of a happiness, and the wait list is a does of reality.
 
hi everybody...

I am back from my trip and no news here. I called and talked to Ms. Davis today and asked her if there has been movement off the waitlist and she said a little but the class is full now. I am like the rest of you so confused and in full fledge freak out mode as the days get closer until Jun. 18th
 
I really do not want to rain on anyone's parade b/c I was in a similar situation last year, but this waitlist is huge and they don't seem to take many people off the list. They bull$hit you the whole time regarding their waitlist. All I am saying is don't get your hopes up. I really really hope some of you guys are lucky enough to get in, but I am just giving you some advice from what we experienced last year.

you didnt' miss much.. no news but most of us are still hoping the best..somehow!

it seems to me that they don't reject anyone post-interview.. i think according to the 07 msar they interviewed 500..
 
I agree with US Army Doc. I really hope someone on here gets in off the waitlist, but last year it seemed like the same thing. I didn't get an official letter that I was waitlisted until late May, eventhough they said it would take 3 weeks post interview to hear back. My interview was end of March...and I think I got a little scribble of an e-mail saying that the class was full, about a couple of days after classes had actually started. But, who knows miracles happens and I sincerely hope that at least one person on here gets that phone call. Best of luck.
 
If what you guys said is true, then thats a really bogus system...I'm thoroughly dissappointed that they can't plan this out a little better and at least give the student less false hope by interviewing so many candidates for such few positions.

I agree 🙁 Seems like our hopes and dreams were just stringed along. I truly believe that all we are is the schools insurance policy just in case they have a mass withdrawal. But, according to previous threads, the wait list is just a delayed rejection 🙁
 
I hate to say it but I agree with you DVN...
 
DVN...you are sooo right. I almost wished I never interviewed there because I know how much I love the school and it had such a great feel. It is definitely a special place. I am still waiting to hear from one more school but I am really upset the longer this goes on. Do you think people have moved off the wait list? Ms. Davis said yes, but why haven't the people who are in the top 10% said anything.

there are 300 people on the waiting list and so far only 2 or 3 have gotten acceptances from the top of the list.

mr.mosley told me yesterday. i find it hard to believe that only a couple of people have dropped out since may15th.
 
Good luck guys....I agree with DVN....Honestly, Meharry claims to be a "family." I remember that from my interview invite and that made me really excited to go there. However, after they treated me the way they did (as well as others) all they do is spit out rhetoric.

Hopefully you guys prove me wrong.

Hey guys,
I just talk to Mr. Mosley today. He said that they have accepted 10 ppl off the waitlst thus far. He also said that annully they usually accept about 20 ppl off the waitlist. In addition he told me that there are 35 ppl on the top 10% list. I know this isn't the best news but stay encouraged God always makes a way.
 
Does anyone know anything about thier post bacc program or have they already picked everyone for that program?

i guess those numbers don't look too encouraging for those of us not in the top10%..

ohwell about 2 weeks till it's officially over, until then who knows what can happen
 
Hey AFRMED,
All I know about their post bacc program is that it's by invitation only. The orientation begins June 12. I spoke to Ms Davis recently and she told me that some students have been notified but I am unsure if ALL students selected for the post bacc have been notified as of yet. On avegrage I heard student have about 2 weeks to get prepared before the program begins so anytime now.

So top 10% ppl got different e mail?

well.. my hope is fading away,,
 
it sounded like some people got a specific email a few weeks ago telling them they were in the top 10%..

I just spoke to Mr. Mosley and he said that the entire class for post bacc has been selected. From 500 they took 20-25. The slected students have all said yes and they were contacted last week. They will only send a notice of official rejection (for those on hold for this program) next week when class starts.

i have to admit - meharry, you broke my heart a little. i knew it'd be a long shot but still..

Same here. It wasn't even a bit personal 🙁 I wish they could have at least used my name...

I loved Meharry and what it had to offer. I guess it was just another dream not to be true...
