mdm_sparkle said:So tomorrow is the first day folks should expect to hear back from Meharry! Good luck everyone and post as soon as you find something out 🙂 The rest of us need some hope too!

yahabiby1 said:The lack of communication or e mail responses is killing me. I called and asked if they expect waitlist movement. They said that they can not speak about any information at this time, almost like its a national security threat.
Definetely not compassionate way of dealing with all of us who are going absolutely crazy trying to to determine how we will spend the next year of our life........
yahabiby1 said:Look, I don't mean to be negative. but when you are sitting and waiting to take a job promotion, retake mcat, get engaged, reapply, and wait to see if you will get in to medical school, its scary and this board is part of how we share our thoughts, and information. I think Meharry is an awesome school but the lack of information regarding the waiting list and students taken off the waiting list is truly stressing me out...
Best of luck to all...
do-ca said:Okay, people it's june 1st. Keep your cell phones close at hand at all times. Mr. Mosley said that he will not only call, but email and send a certified letter to your house.
Please keep us all updated! And, good luck!

do-ca said:This is from when I called him last week. Remember you said that yo'd gotten through to him and so I thought okay why not try and so I did. That's what he said.
That's all I know. Ugh, I have a feeling no one will hear until next week when they get thier butts in gear.[/QUOTE]
Yea, I would have to agree with you. I think at best tomorrow anyone will hear.

From your fingers to God's ears.
Enjoy your weekend commrades! 🙂
c_diddy said:I'm with US Army Doc on this one...there's no need to stress. Meharry's e-mail said June 1 at the earliest, and with that date being so close to the weekend, it is not likely anyone will hear anything realistically until June 5 or 6. Meharry hasn't exactly been the timeliest with communications thus far (at least in my case), so I wouldn't start sweating just yet.
And besides, as several people have pointed out, we've all already done everything we can. Flying in, writing desperate letters, and making desperate phone calls is not going to change anything - and in my opinion, it could be risky to do anything beyond send a simple LOI, because it could be viewed as demonstrating a lack of maturity and patience. Don't get me wrong, I'm not coming down on anyone by any means. All I'm saying is what's the worst case scenario? So you don't get in this year. You do your Master's, do what you need to do to strengthen your app, and reapply. I, for one, am not going to give myself an MI at age 21...we've got our whole lives ahead of us to get into med school.
USArmyDoc said:Well, I think it is good to show continued interest and will probably harm you if you only sent 1 LOI. I have sent ~4 with updates. I know people said updates are not taken into consideration but either way. If the adcom sees you trying to make an effort its gotta help.
SK8DOC said:I second USArmyDoc's response. I also sent in multiple letters. Nothing wrong with a little continued interest. Besides, it's not like they even respond to any correspondence!

do-ca said:Are the days moving slower now? It's 4:15 pacific time. I'm done for the day!
SK8DOC said:hey, how is everyone today?
To all of the Meharry waitlisters, has anyone been taken off the waitlist post June 1st yet?
It does not seem like anything has happened!
Well, let's hope somebody will receive good news here, shortly.
do-ca said:If I hear anything I will pack my frickin' car and drive over the 6 states seperating us! Nothing would stop me if I got the call, yet I have heard nothing. 🙁
How's everyone else?
do-ca said:How's everyone doing today? Hopefully you have not pulled out all of your hair yet!![]()
SK8DOC said:A buddy of mine, who is a current student at Meharry, speaks with Mr. Mosley pretty regularly and stated that Mr. Mosley will be on vacation this week. So, I am totally guessing that Meharry is waiting literally till the June 15th date to see if anyone who is holding an acceptance at more than one school is going to give up their seat or not. I don't know! What do you all think?
do-ca said:I am totaly agreement with you guys. Has anyone called them today to ask about the movement?
Maybe I should?
ruck said:I talked to Ms. Davis today. She said as of today the class is full. I told her well I thought the class was full a while ago too..she said they probably told u the truth back then too!!!!

sassykru said:I think too we have to consider if they have pulled anyone off the waitlist at all since the interview period started and ended? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
sassykru said:I wonder why they have a reputation for being inefficient. I can't imagine where people get those ideas. So sad.
