Another holiday in Vegas. I'm unfortunately on a quick turn around (just got home at 10p, have to be back at the ED at 5a) at the hospital nearest the strip. Gonna be nothing but drunks, drunks, drunks. I don't know if my teim would be better spent sleeping or running around the strip yelling at people to quit drinking.

Get some sleep and prepare yourself for the onslaught of drunks during your next shift. Drunks and Vegas are synonymous and unfortunately you are the one that has to deal with them and the crazy things that they get themselves into.

Luckily I took the week off and am spending it in New York. Thankfully even Times Square crowds are less annoying than Vegas over a long weekend.

Dave Matthew's concert Fri and Sat night here in Hartford which means no shortage of drunk people for us! We actually have an additional attending on swing shift to cover the DMB effect.

we only had 3 ATV rollovers before I left at 1430. God love rednecks + beer + nice weather.

now I've never ridden one of the stupid things. Just how hard is it to keep the rubber side down??

Depends on how much fun you want to have with it

Here's hoping the NYC ERs will stay empty - I think everybody went out to Long Island for the weekend! Unfortunately, the nursing homes look like they're shipping patients out pretty steadily.

I'd stapled up two scalps and run a code in the first hour of my shift last night. And I work in a little town that shuts down around 9pm!

Feeling for you guys... (but not missing big city/rural drunken trauma!)

Volume's been down but acuity has been up. Hopefully tonight stays quiet...

Did not get my wish, very busy. A lot less substance abuse then last night, but more than made up for by the number of people who thought I was their PCP at 3am.
