Do I need to memorize formulas, solubility rules, etc for the DAT? When I took gen chem, we got to have an index card for that kind of thing on tests.

In my opinion just memorize the common ones like where most nitrate, ammonium, perchlorate, acetate and group1 and group2 are soluble.

And where most lead, silver, and mercury is insoluble except when its with the one I mentioned above.

you will have to memorize some formulas like for colligative properties, molarity, molality, ideal gas law, reduction potentials, delta g,h,s, etc.

Source on highlighted?
