Mental Illness Treatment Facilities?

I am doing a project and I need to compile a list of a few mental illness treatment facilities in each state but I am having trouble finding a comprehensive list somewhere. I tried searching by state and still haven't had much luck. I am looking for general mental illness facilities and not really specialized facilities (though it would be good to include only a few of those.)

Anyway, does anyone know of any websites I can look at?

I"m guessing the best place to look are the Associations and related Organizations......APA, NIMH, MHA, etc. Oh, and don't forget our co-host....PsychCentral!

I know that in my state, the website for the state Department of Mental Health lists all inpatient and outpatient facilities which receive state funding. I imagine other states' sites have this as well.

That wouldn't cover the private hospitals or clinics, though.
