Is Microbiology or Human Anatomy & Physiology hard courses? I?m thinking of taking these 2 classes this fall.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Are other classes like this hard for you? They are hard, but not as hard as ochem, biochem, etc. Depends mostly on the professors. Ask someone at your university who has taken them from the professor you want to take them from.

Also, having anatomy and physiology together either means that this class is ridiculously simple (dummed down), or it is ridiculously difficult (because these can be challenging courses by themselves.)

What school do you go to? These kinds of things vary by school (and even prof to prof). A better bet for info would be to contact other students at your school who have taken these classes.

I thought microbiology was my easiest science class in a while. It was the first bio class I got an A in, but maybe I didn't put quite enough effort in when I was studying for general bio (really easy in retrospect). There's a good deal of memorization, but it's interesting stuff so I enjoyed it.

Gah I got my first A- in Micro. It sucked so much to have to memorize so many metabolic pathways (!) , shapes and gram stains. Even worse, the class went totally crazy at the end over bacterial classification systems. The professor brought in a guy who went ape over Woese's domains and lateral transfer and stuff. My head aches over it. Ugh just stick with anatomy and physiology because you can relate to it. I really think that Micro is meant to be taken with a lab, and if you aren't taking it with a lab, it totally sucks.

Use the search option. You'll find tons and tons of discussions on these classes. It varies from school to school. Some are EASY some are worse than having a flaming hot need piercing your wiener. Ask students who've taken them at your school.
