I also interviewed 1/9. I still haven't heard anything back yet...should I take this as a no then? It doesn't make sense that other people who interviewed with me heard back but I didn't

This probably means you will get an actual letter in the mail saying you are waitlisted. This happened to me.
Dang that sucks...how long before you got the letter after your interview?
I wonder too

I interviewed 12/12, and got a physical letter around very end of december or beginning of January. So about a couple weeks but less than a month
I see. Thanks. It doesn't say your rank or anything right?

It's a lottery

I see...well it's comin up on a month and still haven't heard anything. They seemed like they got back to people fast when I interviewed.
so.....basically it doesn't even matter that I've vastly improved my PCAT score. It's a matter of luck? I remember one of the ladies giving us an examples of how someone in a waiting list could get in if they have improved application factors sent in after put on the waiting list....but at this point I don't even know
Hi
I was wondering how stats are weighted at Midwestern. With group interviews, it doesn't seem like it would count for a large portion of admission consideration. I interviewed in Jan and I haven't heard anything yet, which leads me to believe that I'm wait listed. I'm not sure what would get me off the wait list either since I've already finished my undergrad and I'm not retaking the PCAT. Here are my stats is there any reason they would take me off the wait list?
PCAT: 90
GPA: 2.7
2 Board positions within 4 extra curriculars
and I'm a certified pharmacy technician at a community (1.5 years) and hospital pharmacy (6 months)
I got an interview invite for feb 15!!! I'm super excited, but SUPER nervous. I'm gonna be traveling from Puerto Rico and I'm sorta scared because the coldest temperature I've ever been in the 60's. I checked the forecast and its gonna be in the 20's. lol. Anyways, any interview tips? I REALLY need to get tinto this school, my stats aren't impressive and I don't have many other options. Any feedback will be appreciated 😀
As for interview tips... do you work/ volunteer in a pharmacy before? If you can bring in examples from those in your responses, I think it's a big plus (obviously ^_^). Body language, eye contact, clear answers and generally, appear confident. Chill out too! If your fellow interviewee is saying something funny, laugh- it helps calm you and everyone else down. At my interview, it was very laid back though I noticed there were a couple of people who are quite tensed... so you are not alone if you are nervous! oh and please don't forget to SMILE!! - it tends to make you look amicable, people-person, and generally pulls other people right in! =) You will be fine =)
Yes, I am already admitted 😍 and paid my deposit =) Looking forward (at the time of the application), I was very anxious, worried, neurotic, looking back (after I found out I got accepted) I was like... that was a lot of pressure I put on myself and that I feel it is actually a LOT easier than I make it out to be!
How much does it cost you to fly to Chicago? Are you all packed? (the weather is absolutely cold here so please pack a lot of winter clothes) I'm from Chicago so I get envious when other people fly in for their interviews =) it's much "cooler" and more of an "event" flying than driving.😀
for current students, do you think its possible to do work study while doing pharmacy program in first year? 😳
Does anyone know when committee is meeting this month?

I got placed on the alternative list. Since MWU doesn't have listed ranking for people on the waiting list, how do they choose students of the list when there's a spot opened? What is the likeliness of getting accepted when under the alternative list?
I have yet to complete the social/behavioral prerequisite. I have 8 quarter units and need to fufill 1 more unit so I am taking a community college course this spring semester.
At my interview, they said the committee will review all new candidates AND those on the waiting list at each meeting they have. If you send in an extra LOR or you have a new PCAT score to send or you complete some classes with good grades, these could all affect if you get pulled off the waitlist. I also believe they said you can be accepted up until the first week of classes (September).
Just wait it out, as more people accept admissions offers from other schools, they will decline MWU and it will open up more seats. Good luck!
Compare cost and NAPLEX passing rate!!! Which school gave you the best impression?? There's so many things to ask yourself.
If I was rejected would it tell me in the portal? I'm assuming I am rejected because I haven't gotten an interview invite or anything but all it says on the portal is that my application is complete. Would it say if I was rejected?
Did anyone that interviewed on 02/01 hear back from the admissions? any changes on your portals?? I know it's only been two weeks..
Hopefully by end of February

I just got offered an interview for march 6🙂 I am very excited! Anyone have any recommendations of a nice hotel that isn't too expensive? Also how is the group interview setting?
No worries if you answered last either! I was the last to chirp my responses for the majority of the questions =D
