That stats is to help the person of that post who have a low GPA, and doubt about themself of not be able to get in pharmacy school. I was just giving them some motivation by saying I had a low GPA, and still got in. Certainly, if I say I have 3.86 GPA, and 80% on the Pcat, they will feel bad and lose hope. People ask for others' stats simply they want to feel some hope from others who have similar to thier stats.

Another thing, I got in already, why do I have to care about people in this forum anyway? But I still do somehow because I feel sympathy for those who are waiting. Certainly, I might give some information that might not be right, but that is not in my intention.

And sometimes I even said things funny, but it does not kill anyone. Just enjoy it, and forget it. If you try to keep it in your mind, it will make you crazy because I am not gonna write a logical book about my real life in this forum.

Ok if you say so. Just think its gonna be hard for people to take this forum seriously when people give out false information. just my opinion.

hey guys give 5minutes a break. If everyone is so up tight in this forum, i will never visit it. Its true that some of his post are false, but it never really led anyone to the wrong direction. Did he intentionally try to fail anyone or cause them to do bad in their interviews? If not then let's just focus on what this forum is all about...INFORMATION ABOUT MIDWESTERN.

Now on with the topic: if adcom only meet once per month, shouldn't the result for the 12th and 19th interviews be posted at the same time? Will anyone from the nov 19th interview please tell me your status. Mine's still states that they can not find my information. Im really tempted to call them.

I just want this to be a warning to 5minutes. People come to this forum hungry for answers that they cannot get anywhere else. Stop posting stupid stuff ok U are abusing the forum. Misleading people and undermining the integrity of this professional forum is not considered funny......It is superlatively annoying. If you wanna be funny, go to funny.com and post ur stupid unfunny stuff..ok? I am serious about reporting u and getting u kicked out of this forum if u cannot be a freaking adult. watch some TV or something if u dont have anything else to do.

How do we know whether ur stats is the one posted by cdpiano27 or by Prepharmkid

Matter of Fact, I am not rescinding on the motion to kick u the freak out....I need one more person to second the motion....
the only way this can be averted is an offical apology...we dont care about ur stats anymore. We demand, you apologise to all the users of this forum, right here and make a promise to act more maturedly from now on.

People do not come here to be sympathised with. They want to actually get an idea of where they are at. This the only way to measure where u fit in. If I have a GPA of 3.0 am not going to be applying to a school like mercer. It would be a waste of my money. People want to look at other people's STAT so that they arrange the school in order of priority. So do not post bogus stats to make anybody feel good. You are making them waste their time and money, ok?

Official apology? SHUT UP! 👎 Who do you think you are to talk like that? Who do you think you are when you present for all Sdners. In fact, I have many emails say thanks you for what I did. Again, you are the most ridiculous person that I have ever seen since the date that I went to sdn.

False information?

1) I talk about Tuition: $52k a year is the fact that I saw on the financial aid document.

2) Will they pull waislisted students out earlier, or not you just can't do anything about it. Then, just hoping. I wish they will waitlist you, then you know how it feels to be waitlisted.😱 That is my wish for this Christmas.

If those information really kills you, then you are the most sensitive person in the world. :meanie:

I know you are going to try to find something back to say. However, nothing will change my mind about:

1) Again, you are the most ridiculous person that I have ever seen since the date that I went to sdn.

You are making them waste their time and money, ok?

You make my day!

I am wondering that how my stats can make people lose thier time and money? The fact that you have time to argue with me is that you already have free time, and perhap no money.

What I believe to myself is true to myself. You can't say what wrong for you is what wrong for me. Since, you and me are 2 different persons.

[False information?....😕]

False information?

1) I talk about Tuition: $52k a year is the fact that I saw on the financial aid document.

This is a false statement. Tuition alone is not $52K/year. The figure provided from the school includes all conceivable expenses and they over-figure the amount just so your budget doesn't come up short.

How did yall feel about the interview today....Sandoz,I was hoping to meet u but...I didnt. I was at the interview today and I was comparing all the stuff that 5minutes said and what the girl told us and there was so much disparity.

I was one of the blonde girls wearing the brown pinstripe suits, I sat in the far right row in the room where we spent most of the time, and I was in the tour group led by the two female students. Interview Group 3.

I also agree that 5minutes is a little ridiculous... and I don't know why there is so much confusion on this forum about different aspects of the admissions process at Midwestern CCP, because the information provided during the interview session yesterday was all very, very clearly stated.

Tuition itself is NOT $52k, that is the total estimated cost of attendance including room and board and travel and books for an out of state student who lives off campus. Tuition itself is only $28k for out of state. Yes, the total cost is expensive, but tuition is somewhat standard for what I have seen at private institutions, and the cost of living will be somewhat high because the school is located in a very expensive and nice area outside of Chicago. Even so, the estimated travel, housing, and food costs are probably much higher than what I personally would spend.

The alternate list is reviewed throughout the admissions process, especially if someone sends in additional information to add to their application, such as new grades, new test scores, new volunteer work, etc. They pull people from the list as needed from now through the first week of classes if spots continue to remain open.

If anyone else has any questions about the interview process or other information that has somehow been unclear on this forum, please feel free to ask and I will answer if possible, or tell you that the answer was not presented during the session I attended. I probably can answer the questions though, as they did a very good job of giving information to the students, both orally and on paper.

Again, there is false information out there about your stats. Don't sugar coat anything for anybody. Clarify your stats once and for all.

The problem comes in if your stats are truly the higher stats and not the lower stats. By posting what could be potential false lower stats, you are giving false hope to those seeking hope. I use the term "potential" in the event your higher posted stats are true.

Yeah, $52k for entire year, just mistype because I had to leave.

Also, I do not see any help from looking at people's stats. In fact, every school have average Gpa, and Pcat score that one can know. Schools even select people with lower GPA, or higher. A person with higher GPA than average can still be rejected or waitlisted. It also depends on how well your interview goes.

If you want to know my real stats, here: 80% pcat, 3.86 GPA ( 4.0 chemistry, 4.0 maths, 3.86 biology, 4.0 biochemsitry I and II), no pharmacy experience, not much volunteer hours, 3 years of chemistry, math, anatomy tutoring, strong Lors including pharmacist letter.

What get me in pharmacy school is my persistent of applying, improving over years.

tuition is only 28K a year not 52K unless you wanna donate another 24K to the school.

People come to these forums looking for real time statistics. Schools will not provide that information. True, they provide previous years stats and estimated stats for the upcoming class. And true they provide averages - some higher, some lower, but truthfully, how many 2.89 gpa students get accepted? I'd say less than 10%. You shouldn't knowingly give out false information to make someone feel better about their chances. GPA and pcat scores are not the only things considered for admission, but they are 2 of the most important criterion and it could be argued that they are the most important.

You are entering a professional school, you need to act more professional. Knowingly giving out false information is not professional. How would you like to visit a medical doctor only to have him/her discover you have a fatal condition, but rather than give you the disturbing news, he/she does not disclose the information because he/she does not want you to feel bad about your situation. How would you like to go to a pharmacy to have a prescription filled for Bactrim DS, but your dispensing pharmacist knows you have an allergy to sulfa drugs and fills the prescription anyway and tells you that you will feel better after you take the medicine? These two hypothetical scenarios are not in the least bit professional and if it were to be true, they should lose their respective liscences.

You may say you can not compare these situations to what you have been doing, but I argue that they are all done with the same purposes- to instill a feeling of well being and a sense of hope. Thus, they are all on the same level - irresponsible and unprofessional - no matter their level of consequences.

I think you're wasting of time posting your ideas about what I am, and who I am about. You are trying to criticize me while you are not even admitted to Pharmacy school yet. You have a lot of things to do to improve your chances instead of wasting your time to argue with me.

Besides, I only post 2 posts about my stats which are not my real stats. What is a big deal about it? I have some other good posts too. Why don't you look at the good ones that I posted?. Why do you only look at other's miss typing, English, or opinions that you do not agree with?

Yes, I got into pharmacy school in my own way. Everyone has different opinion on what should be done. What is about you? You had 2.90 GPA, and can't even pass the Pcat to the 70 with many times taking. Do you think you will have a chance? People like you with similar stats are many in this forum. They have enough information from other posts. I was giving motivation to them. What is wrong about it?

Also, are you going to find any of my previous posts that I gave a wrong information (not in my intention to hurt anyone) to analyze and criticize? Remember, I am not the only one in this forum that gave a few wrong information. So chill.

Not sure where you came up with my gpa, but it is not accurate. And when have I ever said anything about anyone misspelling words or using improper English. I haven't. I understand that there are many ESL students here on these forums and I cut them slack. Sadly, there are many who do not.

Anyway... Here's the deal...

If you have noticed, I have applied mainly to schools which are not fully accredited. I put applications in to a few schools which are with the outside chance that I can get in to one of those. You are giving people false hope when you shouldn't is all I am saying and that by doing so, you are acting irresponsible and unprofessional. I gave you the previous post hoping that you would think about the person on the other end of the internet - listening to your lines of BS under false pretenses. Just think about what you say or do before you do it.

I offer this to you as advice. I will now drop this.

Again, you are wasting of your time to argue with me.

The reason why there are many people go through life such a failure is because they quit after the first sign of failure. I have seen people in this forum who were admitted to the school with cut-off GPA, and low Pcat. I also have seen people with higher stats but were not admitted. If you quit, you will not get in. There is not such a thing false hope. If you are determined to pharmacy school, you will get in. Also, looking at people's stats do not grant you an admission but a hope. Do you really think people will have more chances by collect all the Pcat scores in this forum, and see where they are at? Where you are at is where you are at. It will not change any thing. It does not make you more competitive. But It can bring you down because others have such GPA, and Pcat.

Another thing, I have no obligation of being whatever you said I have to be. You can try to be professional, or whatever you want to be, and I will not say 1 word to stop you being what you want.

5minutes: You are correct when you say that you can post what you want and while your words may serve as motivation (afterall, determination and confidence are key in this process--something you are correct about) for some, they simulataneously give false hope. Therefore, you have both uplifted and betrayed your listeners equally.

By posting both fact and fiction what you have effectively done is lost all credibility in everything you post from now on.

Anyone in this forum heard back from the school about the nov 19th interview yet? (back to the topic already, argue in another post)

hey MIkeNB, not yet. just the constant checking of my voicemail, email and their website. its crazy. but come what may, we will hear something the coming week. i wish we have a christmas present. good luck buddy

Please observe my comments constructively:

I find the above comments very disconcerting. 5minutes, I do see your good posts. Even though you got accepted to pharmacy school, you still try to help others on this forum. I appreciate your encouragements very much.

What bothers me the most are your not so good posts. Having admitted to posting stats that "are not my (your) real stats," I question your ability to give honest and comprehensive consultations for your future patients. I agree, it may not be a big deal right now, but I see it as a potential barrier to becoming a credible and compassionate pharmacist. Regardless if it was a mistake or not, I recommend refraining from the practice of presenting both real and "not so real" advices.

Again, It may not be a big deal right now, but it can potentially become a momentous deal when you deal with patients' lives.

I hope you continue to help others on this forum in a positive manner.

I would like to add before he says something like "stop arguing with me," that as someone who isn't a native English speaker there will be doctors/pharmacists/nurses/other health professionals that may not understand your accent. You have to learn to take criticism and try and work things out or you will piss off a lot of people if you just get defensive all the time.

Any 1 receive any news from the interview on Nov 12. If so were you accepted, rejected, or alternate list and when did you receive the news. How did you receive the news, interact, or mail?!? I am still waiting for a reply but havent received anything.

hey prospective midwesterners, they just sent out our results for the nov 19th interview on friday (i called the admission office). Hold ur breath and hope it's good news. :scared:

Funny, I have also called and the office of admissions had just told me that letters have also gone out, though she didn't have information whether or not if they were for the interviews on the 12th or the 19th.

well when i called, i asked for the nov 19th because i told her that many of the 12th had already received their results. She told me that the 19th interview was out. Sigh* it would be so much easier if they just do it electronically. Both for us and them.

i interviewed on the 12th and haven't received any official letter yet. only know about acceptance through the matriculation agreement online.

Based on what I've been hearing, if you don't see a change in your Midwestern online account, it most likely means you have been put on the alternate list.

I interviewed Nov 12th, found out about my acceptance online Dec 1st, and just today received my letter in the mail. And I only live 30 minutes away!

The online account def seems like the best source to find out about it. :luck:

how funny, I am in California and received the letter today too. I wonder if they sent it out based on when it would reach each student.

Congrats, and maybe I'll see you next year!!

So no news yet for Nov 19th people? That's good news....i hope. :xf:

has everyone from Nov 12 received their letters??? I still haven't received one yet...this is getting rediculous.

WOW are u serious. Because i called them and they told me that they have sent ALL the letters out already. Acceptance, waitlist, and rejects. If you have to wait that long...that means i have to wait longer. This is not cool. Im from the nov 19th by the way

yeah I do live in a town that is famous for being SLOW! but seriously, I'm supposed to be finding out the result from Univ of Minnesota next week and I had that interview a week after this one. Plus I am super impatient, always have been.

well i would not blame you. They are taking a long time to give out the results. Hopefully this waiting does not mean waitlist

i live in socal and i received my letter yesterday. hopefully you'll receive your letter tomorrow. if not, i'd give the school a call and find out whats going on.

Well I know I wasn't accepted because my account didn't change, but I would like to know the result anyway. I guess it will have to wait til monday...I'm out to VA for my next interview. Wish me luck!

Congrats to everyone who got an interview and to those who haven't, don't lose hope! :luck:

I just want everyone to know that I am here to help if you have any questions regarding Midwestern CCP (I am a P1) or the application process in general.

i have decided to decline my acceptance. good luck to those of you who are still waiting!

Hey CaliRx, I have been invited for an interview to Midwestern CCP and will be attending on the Dec. 17th, can I get some advice or helpful hints. Unfortunately, I submitted most apps late and this is my first interview, I want to be as prepared as possible in order to decrease the anxiety levels 😕 ! So any advice would be great!

I'm interviewing Dec. 17th (in the morning) too! I'm nervous but excited! Maybe I'll see you there 🙂!

First of all, Dec 17th is NOT a late interview date. I interviewed on March 14th and I still got accepted.

I'm not sure if they changed the interview process for this year's applicants but this is how it went last year: For the first 45 minutes the Dean talks about the school/program/etc. Then they break you into groups of around 7 people with two interviewers. They basically ask you general questions like why did you choose pharmacy? The hard part is that they don't call on you, they expect you to jump in and answer their questions. You will hear many different emotional stories from other applicants but don't let that affect your story. You have to remember to be yourself! After the interview, they give a presentation on financial aid and then in the end you just write an essay. The essay is about a general topic. No background information will be necessary.

I hope this explanation was helpful for you. If you have any other specific questions, do ask. GL!

Hi CaliRx. Thanks for the very helpful info! Do you know if the interview process at Midwestern-Glendale will be the same???

CoffeeDose,

Honestly, I am not sure what the interview process is at Glendale. It might be the same considering the university dean is the same. Check the interview feedback section, it will be more accurate.

Misleading people and undermining the integrity of this professional forum is not considered funny......It is superlatively annoying. I
[/B]

sorry.. I haven't read what the squabble is about so I'm not taking sides but I thought that line was funny.

Professional forum.. psshht.

50% people in high school (or first year of college)

35% people wanting to know if their stats are good enough to even think about getting into a professional school.

10% People who know their stats are good enough but need to be reminded constantly.

4% People who know their stats are good enough and want to be sure everyone knows it.

<1% Actual professional anythings...

The rest are just ... well I don't know what they are.. Just lurkers I guess.

Carry on with the squabble. Go Team Blue!

Have anyone been pulled out from waitlist yet?

I was placed on the alternate list from my November interview and just right now been accepted by checking the website matriculation page. So if you were placed on hold I would check it again. I did much better on the October PCAT which may be the reason they reconsidered me. So I am glad to say that I have been accepted to CCP. I also interviewed at Glendale, but haven't received a letter or anything from them yet.

Im planning to do the same thing but im about to study for the jan test. Would it be ok if you tell me your scores for the two test and if midwestern will accept my january test. (also wait listed).
