In student portal, it says I need 4 credits of anatomy and 4 credits of physiology.
I guess I can take anatomy in community college.

I took physiology already but it was only 3 credit course and I don't remember it having a lab but I could be mistaken.
How do I fulfill 1 missing credit in physiology?

Yeah i would call the school tomorrow and ask about your prereqs. I need to take anatomy and physiology as well. I was on the quarter system and short units for physio even though I already took it. You just have to re-take it or if all else fails you might be able to ask the dean to excuse you (not sure if that's been done before)

I already graduated from an undergraduate school so I don't know if I can reapply to undergraduate school now just so that I can take classes in summer. Is that even possible?

I will be taking mine at a CC. You can apply to a community college and take unit courses still or you can do a post-bachelors at your university.

Does anyone know when school starts for MWU?

Yes, it is possible. I am not sure if every institution does it, but that's the way I am doing it. I had to reapply and everything, and it was a little bit of a hassle. Now I just have to get into the classes, they're already full.😳

August 24-26 is mandatory orientation. When are you moving there?

I would definitely call the school if I were you. I called UMDNJ and they told me that they accept CC credits but they recommended that I take all the science courses at uni once I transfer cause uni courses are naturally more rigorous.

Hey Joon, I'm in the same position as you. I'm missing one unit in physio and less than a unit in anatomy. The person I spoke with told me that I needed to take separate 4 semester unit anatomy and physiology class at either a community college or university. She also told me I could take a combined anatomy and physiology class but it needed to be the second semester of the series. Hope this helps.

Hey guys, I go to MWU in a different program. I was just having a conversation at dinner with a couple of friends in the dental program and we were talking about getting in and the requirements (weird coincidence, I guess). I was short some classes, but called and talked my way out of them; my friends did the same (they were missing anatomy and phys, and I was missing English and O-Chem). Call the admissions office; if you can get out of the requirements by explaining an appropriate substitution, that will save you lots of time, money, and give you a free summer.

I used to go to CC and transferred to GMU.
I don't know about curriculum in CC but GMU had anatomy and physiology, and physiology courses.
I took the physio only course which was 3 credits out of 4 credit requirement.

If I go back to GMU and take anatomy and physilogy combined course, I guess it will fulfill both anatomy and physilogy requirement?

Hm...I guess I wasted my time taking physiology, LOL. I should've just taken anatomy+physio course I guess...

Kim double check that... b/c sometimes if you just take anatomy and physiology they want a whole year. but if you take them separately they only require one sem.

Yea I was told you can take the combined course in anatomy and physiology but she told me to make sure it was the second of the series. Not "Anatomy and Physiology I" but "Anatomy and Physiology II". By doing so just like peanutb123 is talking about, it would mean that you would be finishing the whole year of combined anatomy and physiology.

But what if you havent taken any anatomy? and have taken physio? Will the school still let you take Part II of Physio & Anatomy?

I think if they let you take Part II it will definitely be better so you can take care of both with just one class. However, I wasn't able to get into Part II because the community college that I was trying to take it at said I needed to have taken Part I even though I already took physiology and anatomy separately at a University. So currently I'm taking them separately. Luckily, they allowed me to take it concurrently after jumping through some hoops because I guess some schools require that you take anatomy before you take physiology. Hope that helps.

Just curious---what school are you taking them at? (i noticed you're from So.Cali)

I called Midwestern and a lady told me that she will waive 1 credit out of 4 for me (I have 3 credits on physiology). I wonder when she will do it for me...it's been a week already....I wish she didn't just forget about me :X.

However, I will need to take anatomy class.

really? sweet... maybe she will help me out too 🙂 man are you having problems finding an OPEN anatomy class?

well...when are you gonna take anatomy class? Isn't it in summer? I thought summer registration didn't even start yet so why are you so worried (or did it already start 😱).

oh the school i'm trying to enroll in is on the qtr system so spring quarter hasnt started yet, but it is already full >.< and my registration date isn't until wed.

I dont really want to wait until summer either...because i imagine anatomy will still be a popular class.

By the way, is there a facebook group for midwetsern class of 2014?

it's kinda crazy. i'm actually from orange county area but couldn't find anything around here. i'm driving around 40 miles out to san bernardino to take it. The school is San Bernardino Valley College. I wish I could have gotten one of mine waived. :lame: Actually Gotta go now....🙁
