Yeah you may still be accepted. I just interviewed today and they said that they were going to be deciding on our group (and past groups) by this Friday.
 
Oh well that is good to hear because I still haven't heard anything and my portal hasn't changed...keeping my fingers crossed 🙂
 
I was wait listed...bummer they were my number 1 choice 🙁 Does any one know if they pull very many people from the wait list?
 
How do you know you were waitlisted? Can you tell by the website or did you get a letter? I know that the "Accepted student checklist" is activated if you are accepted..but I dont know if I can tell if I am waitlisted or rejected by the website as well. Sick of waiting to know..
 
I was waitlisted by them. You'll eventually receive a letter on the mail and your portal won't change at all.

Interesting.... at my interview on 1/13, we were told that decisions/notifications would be complete by 1/25 (yesterday). Seems to be a floating deadline. 😕
 
I just called the admissions and they told me I had been selected as an alternate. The lady was very friendly so if you are curious I would just call them and ask what the status of your application is.
 
Like PTnerd said, does anyone know if they ever end up pulling people from the wait list?

I guess I join that club also. I emailed them yesterday to ask for status and they responded that I was an alternate. I also got the letter in the mail today with the same message. The letter did say they don't rank the alternate list but there was no information about historically how many they end up taking from that list. I think the Glendale campus has only admitted one class so far.

Im conflicted..

I just got accepted in the program today..which I was not expecting in the least..and now I dont know what to do. The facilities were amazing, I thought the area seemed nice, and as a Seattle resident I am very excited by the weather. However, I didnt feel a real "connection" to the place when I was there. But this could just be because we really didnt have a chance to meet any of the faculty. I feel like it is so important to like the faculty and I left with just a big question mark with this program. Sigh..its so hard. Maybe I would be really happy there and I just didnt get enough exposure during the visit. Its such a huge decision and so difficult especially when they have $1000 deposit. Any thoughts from anyone who went to the campus or are already in the program?? please..

Just checked my portal today and I was accepted!! Interviewed last Friday (1/28), and they told me the admission committee was meeting on Monday. I genuinely liked this program, facilities, and the faculty I met, and will likely be going here in June! Anybody else get any recent acceptances?

@ashy87pt - At our interview there was a Q&A session with one of the faculty in the morning before the interview, did you have one? Also during the interview, I had two of the professors which I talked to. I had ample opportunity to meet the professors and all seemed really excited and committed to the program. But you're right, $1000 is alot of money and you want to make sure that without a doubt, this is the program you want to attend..

Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to congratulate everyone that has been accepted/plans on attending MWU, glendale next year. Eder and I are co-presidents of the PT club here on campus and will plan some welcome week activities for you guys to get to know each other as well as our class. You can use the group as much or as little as you want but feel free to post questions or use it for housing.

Is there anybody on here that is yet to interview? I have mine on Friday 2/18 and am getting nervous. Looks like a few of you were already accepted and they have a pretty small class size to start with...

nope.

their class size is pretty small, wouldn't be surprised if they filled all the spots.
 
Did you guys get in to other schools? Or is Midwestern your only hope?
 
I applied in January through PTCAS and just heard this week that my application was complete and would be reviewed soon. Maybe it took awhile before they got the academic update after fall semester?! It's March 3rd!!!...could I really be asked for an interview this late in the game? How many students do they accept? Do they ever tell students that they could have a spot in the next class?? I don't want to get excited if they are already full. Help! Did any of you waitlisters get in?

Apptired - I am a current student at Midwestern - Glendale. We accept 50 students. You may still be offered an interview. We had a couple be pulled off the waitlist/interviewed March and April of last year. Keep your head up, best of luck and let me know if I may be of any help!
 
Hey all! Congratulations on your acceptances! I would like to forward you a link to the house I am currently renting out. I will be moving out of this house in May so it will be available May 1st (my bedroom, the master).

I love it here! It is quiet, a big house with a community pool and 1.2 miles from campus! Also, the master bedroom is fully furnished with a queen size bed, a desk, dresser and two night stands. It has a private bathroom with two walk in closets. Let me know if anyone is interested and I can get you in touch with my landlord and send you more pictures of my own!

CORRECTION: my bedroom will be available JUNE 1st, 2011 not May. Sorry everyone, but I know you all start around the 2nd or 3rd so it may be a viable option 😀
 
We're only asking for $600/month + Utilities. It's a 2 bedroom apartment right across the street from campus. My roomate and I will be gone for the summer June-August. Great temporary housing if you're trying to find a house, or if you want to live cheap without a contract (we're actually taking a loss to sublet our place). Contact me for more details!
 
Hello Midwestern Glendale people...........No updates or comments here in a long time.
My app is in for entry 2012. I have done 2 "tours" one is May and again this weekend I attended a campus open house. Didn't get to see the inner workings of the campus, program, or labs. I met Dr. Vargas. I was so stoked about his aquatic therapy background since I am a lifeguard and was on swim team in high school......anyrate we had a long talk. REALLY hope to see a status change for the best.
Eder---have they started scheduling interviews yet? Want to know how long to hold my breath. I remember being very excited when the campus announced they were going to start a PT program. I live in Glendale.

I submitted my application in early October and haven't heard anything yet. Is there anyone who has been interviewed and accepted for the 2012 class?
 
Yes, I looked online at their site and created a user account to see that I was scheduled for an interview ( sometime in late November I would guess). I had my interview in mid January and received my acceptance letter the following week for the Glendale campus.

Any other recent updates? I last received an email from Midwestern in early November stating that my application was complete, but I have heard absolutely nothing since then. Is this common?

Shortly after I applied I received an email to schedule an interview. I got the email Dec 17th, my interview is this Friday 2/24
 
ACECPT---keep us posted on your interview.......maybe you can get an idea of how full the class is. I was told on the phone back in DEC....that I was on hold for inerview in APRIL !! Sounds like-- if there are any seats left...gone through our wait list....then maybe... haha....

I'm in at Touro, did you hear anything from them? I'd rather stay in AZ and save money.
 
UNLV interviews are this Friday, so I'm guessing they would've sent out an email. I read on another board here that they have 90 interviewees? Not sure how accurate it is though.

Where is Touro at?
 
@Ltlwarrior- I'll let you know how it goes! I didn't get an interview at UNLV :-/ I found out by emailing them and asking about my status and the person replied indicating that they are interviewing 90 people and I wasn't one of them. It's kind of irritating, I wish they would just tell you if you were getting an interview or not instead of letting the day approach with no word haha. I called Touro last week and they received my faxed supplemental application but haven't reviewed it yet, so I'm hoping they will this week. I have mixed feelings about staying in AZ, I'd really like to experience a new place but I've heard Midwestern has premier facilities...and it's close to home.

@baday- Touro is in Henderson, NV...about 20 minutes from Vegas 🙂

Ace- just remembered you had your interview the other day! How do you think you did and have you heard anything yet?
 
I think it went well. They interviewed two of us at the same time which was interesting. I found out today that we should know Friday afternoon, they are having the committee meeting that morning. We'll see!!

Did you try contacting admissions? They have been very helpful to me; I'm sure they'd be happy to inform you what's going on.

Also, I interviewed last week, and was notified that that was the 4th out of 8 interviews. So, there is still time.
 
Check your portals! For those that interviewed last week they should be updated...I got accepted!🙂

Gongrats to you all for getting in!!! They start school so early but they seem to run their interviews so close to starting.
 
I was wondering if anyone else got put on the waitlist for an interview. If so, has anyone been called for an interview after you were put on the waitlist?

A couple posts back someone said they went to an interview at the end of February and were told that it was the 4th of 8 interviews. If that's so, is there anyone who is going to be part of any of the remaining interviews on here? And when did you schedule it?

The dates you were contacted and the dates of the interviews are always helpful.

I was told at the end of February that I was waitlisted for an interview. I received an email this morning asking me what date I wanted to interview. My options were 3/16, 4/6, and 4/13. I'm from Chicago and still choose 3/16 because I figure it's better to go sooner when it's this late in the game. Let me know if you have any questions!
 
Well that's awesome. Good luck! I agree, I would have picked 3/16 also🙂

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what is your science GPA from PTCAS? Once when I called the school I got the impression that they use the science GPA instead of the prereq GPA.
