I only received the acceptance email and they said they would send me the packet very soon. But the info I got from Pharmcas is that you have 4 wks to accept the offer and pay $500 for the deposit.

Congratulation for your acceptance. I just received a letter saying that I am placed on their alternate list. Have you heard of people being accepted on the alternate list? I am so bummed! 🙁 In the meeting, they said only if spaces open up.. but i highly doubt spaces would open up if they fill up so fast.

I went there on Jan 9 and got a letter on Jan 21..They put me on alternate list 🙁 🙁 🙁 ........Now i'm extra nervous, but still hold on to my hope..Hopefully people who were accepted by Midwestern will consider their thought when UIC calls their names.....

Hey hang in there! Remember what they said in the orientation. If you are put in the alternate list, send them an update, or write them an essay with some extra info about yourself... anything will help. Good luck!

Thanks guys......I received that news yesterday..So still adjusting to it...I'll call the admission office tomorrow to ask what types of extra material I can send in since I'm already done with my B.S....and I won't take Jan Pcat...I was thinking about writing something other than academic...Some essays form other Pharmacy schools say that you can write about your background or what make you different/unique compare to other applicants...So I'm thinking that I'll write about that..What do you guys think????

(i'm working now, but not related to Pharmacy's field..A friend of mine adviced me to find a pharm's position, and I can send in an updated about that too...)

Write the essay, I think that's a pretty good topic to write. You may work as a pharm tech, that will help a lot, too. 🙂
