Need some help on what to do.

I got into a dental school and I am very grateful, but got waitlisted at Midwestern-AZ and that is my top choice from what I was dealt with regards to interviews recieved.

Does anyone know what chance I might have being on the waitlist? They make their decsions in March about waitlisted people and is a really long time to be in the loop without knowing I have a shot or just drop it.

Another thing I would add is I just sent a letter of intent to the head of adnissions about my intent on going to Midwestern if accepted and how I would drop the other dental school in a heartbeat. Along with what I like about Midwestern and how I see myself fitting into the curriculum.

Thanks in advance

I loved Midwestern when I interviewed there! I was a bit upset when I got wait-listed, but I expected it with how my interview went. I was last to interview and my interviewer felt like he was tired and wanted to get it over with. I got in to my state school, UW, actually the RIDE program which is super small, 8 people! To say the least, I was excited! Yesterday, I got the call from Midwestern, I'm off the waitlist. I'm a little annoyed that they took so long and after a lot of thought I have decided to stick with my decision with UW for many reasons. So, not only is it possible to get off the list, but it is also possible the next person that gets off that list may be you, considering I am respectfully denying their offer! Good luck!

So it seems like they do start calling people by January. I was under the impression that tey start calling people in march off the waitlist.

Thank you for your input
