Ive recently been accepted to my IS veterinary school, 3000 miles away from where my husband and I are currently living due to military orders. He will have to remain here until summer 2020 and then be stationed elsewhere (although likely still distant from the school). He is incredibly supportive and encouraging but I have concerns about managing the stress of veterinary school and the toll it can have on a marriage when coupled with long distance. I’m hoping others with similar experience can weigh in.

Hi, I know this is late and i'm sure you are already well into vet school studies. I was hoping to give you some encouragement. I am a spouse and prior military member currently in vet school. My husband has been stationed far from me for 6 years now and we have made it work while I finish vet school. I have learned to appreciate the distance because it allows me to really focus on school. I just try to focus on the positives and always remind myself that it is temporary. If your husband is as supportive as mine is, and it sounds like he is, then it is very do-able and worth it!
