Anyone ever miss an interview because you got the date wrong in your head only to receive a phonecall the morning of?

This happened to me the other day, and I rescheduled.

Is there any point in even going to the interview? I really like the school.

Will there be a little note in my file saying that I'm an idiot?

"Why would we take Mr. X instead of Mr. Y since they're both qualified and one skipped his interview?"

I would never admit that I screwed up the date. I would just make up a story.

Granted, if they let you reschedule, then they still think you are worthy.

Well, I only spoke to the secretary, who let me reschedule.

Human beings make mistakes.

If they allowed you to reschedule, go.

Well if thats the case, I bet missing the initial interview carries no weight on your application.

You'll be judged like everyone else.

I don't think they'll make a note of why you rescheduled the date. The interviewer will write their eval without knowing, and it is likely the adcom won't know either.
