I'm bit worried that I will be affected by not having Organic II completed before my application is submitted for this cycle. I have an overall GPA of a 3.7 and earned an A- in orgo I. I currently have a W listed on my transcript in Organic II and plan to retake it the end of my senior year. Will this be a big deal to adcoms?

You took the MCAT without Organic Chemistry II? While most institutions typically state that pre-requisite classes have to be completed before matriculation, there are also reportedly some on adcoms that look at classes like Organic Chemistry as a barometer of your ability to do well in a science curriculum throughout medical school. What's your science GPA, and do you have a demonstrated track record of strong performance in science classes?

With incomplete information, I'd reason that schools would find this either not a problem or a mild, non-fatal concern that could be outweighed if you can show that you can succeed academically in medical school through your overall coursework. I've had a number of friends who have taken classes like Physics II or Biochemistry in senior year without issue.

You'll be fine without Orgo II. If a particular school really cares, they will wait to see what you got in the class in your mid-year update.

I applied and was accepted without Orgo 2. I just finished taking it actually. The medical schools just require proof you've taken it before you matriculate. It never came up during interviews.

I'm not really sure how poorly you'd have to do for your acceptance to be rescinded though, so try to do well.
