Mixed reviews. 3.3/3.1 URM, what MCAT for MD?!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i am from puerto rico and I have a 3.5c/3.3s with a 24 MCAT. I have good research and activities/EC. I submitted my primary sept 3 and my secondaries end of oct/early nov.

I have yet to hear back from mainland schools but I am hopefull in my abilities. and according to AAMC hispanic with my stats have a 52.6% chance of acceptance.

only you know in the end if you want to give it a try, maybe try low-end schools in places that have many minority communities.

thank you for the reply! that's kind of what I'm afraid of. I'd really like to do well on the mcat to really boost my chances, but even then I have my doubts if I can make it. I wish you luck from here on out!

Hello all! first off I hope your semesters/app cycles are going well, and congrats to everyone having success this cycle so far!

For some background, I am an Afro-Caribbean/Puerto Rican male who started off college extremely poorly and I now have a steep upward trend. I will be graduating in May with a 3.3 cGPA and a 3.1 sGPA after turning my academic life around. I also have pretty good ECs, including a few directly helping the underserved community, as well as very strong clinical experience and decently strong clinical research.

As Ive heard multiple differing opinions, my question is simple, what kind of MCAT do I need to get into an MD school? is it even possible? I've heard ranges from 28-35, and I just want to know if I'm wasting my time and money and even applying MD at all. ill be doing DO as well as I don't care at the end, would just prefer MD to make life a bit easier.

To any with insight, thank you for your time!

Get above a 30 and I think you'll get love, bruh.
