Anyone has a good way to differentiate between these? I always mix up the three of them 🙁

HI constricts... everything else remains the same... hope this helps!

that's good! because alot of questions ask what changes and what stays constant.

another one is when comparing H and I, H is fatter than I, so H is the portion ONLY consisting the THICK filaments (fatter). I is thinner, so it is the portion ONLY consisting of the THIN filaments.

i think i got this from Kaplan, which stuck by me.

if you cut it at which portion you get both thick and think? A band
what anchors the thin filaments ? H zone
what runs down the center of the sarcomere? M line

This is great! Thanks 🙂

The M line is in the middle of the H zone which is in the middle of the A band which is in the middle of the I band.Think MHAI and remember middle's.
Keep repeating it.It will stick

Isn't the middle of the I band the Z-line?
