I think it’s pretty childish how the many moderators on this site (ranging from premeds to older attendings) can close threads without citing why and at their own whim.

Also just to clarify, users now have the ability to lock their own threads, which is why it may seem like some seemingly innocuous threads have been locked for “no reason”. Users have always had the option to PM a moderator to lock their own thread, but we have now given that ability directly to the user.
